Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi Pad 7 in India on January 10th, which has already launched in China on the 29th of October. The tab looks pretty good when you look at the tablet specifications.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 features a metallic body, and Xiaomi says the antennas of the tablet are hidden in the design so they can give a good texture. The tablet is thin too, with just 6.18 mm thickness, which is a good thing for the tablet, it’s a bit thinner than the previous generation Pad 6, which the Pad 7 is replacing, and it weighs 500 grams. It features a single camera and a flash, and it comes in three colours: Sky Blue, Black, and Green, and the tablet has 4 speakers for a good multimedia experience with 4 microphones to make sure your voice is heard great in meetings.

Display
The Xiaomi Pad 7 features a good 11-inch LCD panel with a 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, so the content looks smooth despite being an IPS panel. The brightness peaks at 800 nits, according to Xiaomi, with a P3 wide colour gamut for good picture quality, it has a finger touch sampling rate of 360Hz and a stylus touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and it has HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support with a screen ratio of 3:2.
It supports 68 billion colours on the panel. It has TUV certification for low blue light certification and flicker-free display certification, so the display looks good on your eyes and doesn’t damage your vision. Thanks to the AG coating that is present on the screen, the screen reflection is also reduced by 65%.

Performance
The Xiaomi Pad 7 features the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, which is based on TSMC’s 4nm process node, and it’s the fastest 7-series chipset, scoring 1.3 million in AnTuTu, which shows the performance of the chipset. The tablet also has LPDDR5X for the RAM and UFS 3.1 for storage of the tablet, and thanks to the hyper core function of the Hyper OS 2.0 software, the cold start speed is 7% faster and 19% smoother in animations and 10% faster when you are multitasking when you compare this to the Pad 6 Pro tablet.

Camera
The Xiaomi Pad 7 features a 13 MP camera in the back that supports 4K recording at 30 fps and a flash with a flicker sensor on the back for good photos. The tab also has an 8 MP selfie camera, and an OVO8D sensor, that can record videos at 1080p max resolution at 30 fps.
Battery
The Xiaomi Pad 7 features a large 8850 mAh battery with dual-cell technology, and the tablet is still thin. Even though it features a big battery, the tablet has a 45W charger in the box. Xiaomi claims that the charger can top up the battery to 100% in 80 minutes, which is pretty good, honestly. The tablet also supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology and PD 3.0 technology so you can charge the tablet at a slower speed than other chargers when you forget the tablet at home, which is a good thing, honestly, from Xiaomi.
OS
The Xiaomi Pad 7 is powered by the HyperOS 2 software, which is based on Android 14 and has features for cross-device support for calls and cameras too, which is a good software feature. It also has so many AI features, and Xiaomi hasn’t promised the exact number of software updates the Xiaomi Pad 7 might receive.
Pricing
The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to come in 3 variants, notably 8+128GB, 8+256GB, and 12+256GB, It was priced at 1999 Yuan for the 8+128GB, which would convert to INR 23K; 2299 Yuan for the 8+256GB, which would convert to INR 27K; and 12+256GB variant at 2599 Yuan, and it would be INR 30,500. But the pricing might not be the same as the Chinese variant, and you might miss some features too, but honestly, I think the pricing would be INR 26K for the 8+128GB starting variant, INR 30K for the 8+256GB, and INR 36K for the highest-end 12+256GB variant. You could drop your opinions in the comments.
The specifications on the upper are from the Chinese variant and might change when the product comes to India.
