OnePlus China has announced the OnePlus 16 launch in China on 12th October. We currently have no information on the Indian market launch timeline or whether it will be there or not.
The OnePlus 16 is positioned more as a gaming device, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 Storage. It has a new-generation Fengchi Game Core, a new-generation self-developed esports triple-core, and a DLSS 4-level super-frame experience, so even games that don’t support it can run at 185 FPS, and a self-developed esports triple chip with G3 network chip, T3 touch chip, and P4 chip for display.

OnePlus 16 has a BOE X4 display with up to 165Hz global refresh rate and 185Hz gaming refresh rate support.
In terms of the camera system, it has a 200MP 1/1.4″ main camera with F1.6 aperture, 50MP ultrawide with 116-degree field of view, 50MP 1/1.95″ 3X periscope telephoto with a new Sony IMX882, and a 50MP autofocus front camera.
It has a large 9000mAh typical (8780mAh rated) dual-cell battery, supporting up to 100W wired and up to 50W wireless charging.
Additionally, it has an Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor, metal frame, Plus Key, NFC, and IR.
It’s rated IP68, IP69, and IP69K in terms of dust and water resistance and has Type-C Port rated for USB 3.2 speeds.
It’s powered by ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. It has LED lights on the rear side. This looks interesting, and hope it makes into Indian markets or global markets.
