Oppo Reno 12 Series- Launch Date, Specs and Price

In January, Oppo launched its new flagship smartphone, the Oppo Reno 11 and Oppo Reno 11 Pro. These both devices come with a MediaTek processor and have great specs. The next move from Oppo is to launch its new upcoming Oppo Reno 12 series. The specifications have been leaked and many of them are eagerly waiting for the device.

Oppo Reno 12 Series Leaked

Recently, the Digital Chat station shared leaks about the upcoming Reno 12 series which is expected to launch in the next few months. However, a report from MSPowerUser has shared about the details and specifications of the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 series. Oppo Reno 12 Series Launch Date

  • The new upcoming smartphone Reno 12 Series will launch in June 2024 in India.

As per latest reports, there is no official announcement and confirmation regarding the Reno 12 Series launch date. But, we can expect the launch in June 2024.

Oppo Reno 12 Series Specifications (Leaked)

As per several reports, the Reno 12 Series have been collected from an internal document. Based on those documents, we can expect the specifications that will come in the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 Series. The new Oppo Reno 12 (Vanilla model) is said to be launched with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and the codename is “MTK 24M.” Talking about the variants, it comes with a 12GB RAM and 256GB of Internal Storage.

Apart from that, the Reno 12 is said to feature a 50 MP front camera but they’ll have no autofocus. On the other hand, the Reno 12 Pro is expected to launch with MediaTek Dimension 9200, and the codename is “MTK DX-2”. The device is also said to come with 12GB RAM along with a mix of 256GB and 512GB of Internal Storage.

In addition, the Reno 12 Pro is tipped to get a 6.7-inch OLED screen with 120Hz display refresh rate. Plus, the device will have curved glass back. As per reports, the phone is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a secondary 50MP camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP sensor that will probably be an ultra-wide lens.

The Reno 12 Pro is also expected to come with a 50 MP selfie camera with an autofocus mode. This year, we can expect the 5000mAh battery unit on the Pro model with 67W fast charging support. Moreover, the device will have the IP65 rating which protects from dust and water resistance.

As per the previous leak from the Digital Chat Station, they tipped that  Reno 12 Series smartphone will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen series chipset, which could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Since there are a few months more for the official launch, we can expect some changes in SoC on the Reno 12 Series.

According to the leaked specs, the  Reno 12 Series will have these specifications –

  • 6.7-inches OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a curved glass back.
  • MediaTek Dimensity 9200 / Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen Series chipset.
  • 50MP + 50MP +8MP rear camera setup and 50MP selfie camera.
  • 5000mAh battery with 33W Charging support
  • 12GB of RAM and 512GB Internal Storage
  • IP65 Rating

Oppo Reno 12 Series Price

Given the specs and considering the previous year’s prices into account, we can expect the  Reno 12 and 12 Pro to launch at ₹30,000 and ₹40,000, respectively. Take this with a pinch of salt since this is pure speculation.
