Display and Build
The Find X8’s display is smaller than that of the Find X7. It features a 6.59″ AMOLED, 1256 x 2760 pixels, and a 120 Hz refresh rate, compared to the 6.78″ display on the Find X8.
The phone is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and features IP68 water and dust resistance. A splash-touch algorithm allows the display to work properly regardless of whether the phone or hand is wet. The phone provides a rugged finish and can easily handle drops.
The phone has a peak brightness of 4500 nits, which makes the display dazzling and effortless to use even under the brightest of weather conditions.
Weighing only 193g, the device is light-weight. It is also very thin, at 7.85 mm. OPPO has crafted a very thin 1.45mm bezel, giving the phone a ~90.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Battery
The OPPO Find X8 got a huge upgrade in its battery, with a 12% jump from a 5000 mAh battery in its predecessor to a 5630 mAh battery. OPPO has claimed that the Find X8 will be able to record Dolby Vision videos for 6.5 hours continuously and 5.1 hours continuously at -20℃.

Performance
Under the hood, the Find X8 features a new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. The Trinity Engine in the Find X8 features smart caching that optimizes CPU and system performance, speeding up data access for both CPU and GPU. It features a software accelerator that delivers up to a threefold improvement in algorithm efficiency in various tasks. OPPO claims that this improves the overall system performance by up to 22% and reduces power consumption by up to 8.24% for demanding games and 4.5% for recording playback. The chipset has a 3nm process and is 35% more efficient when it comes to AI. The CPU is 35% faster and 40% more efficient, and the GPU is 41% faster and 44% more efficient.
OPPO has presented Genshin Impact to run at 59.7 FPS and PUBG at 119.6 FPS. So the Find X8 packs a punch when it comes to performance.
Camera
The OPPO Find X8 is designed with a beautiful Cosmos Ring camera module. The phone features a 50-50-50 triple camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP 1/1.56″ sensor with /1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, and a 24mm focal length. The ultra-wide camera is a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 1/2.75″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and a 15mm focal length. The third camera is a 50MP telephoto lens with a 1/1.95″ sensor, f/2.6 aperture, OIS, and 73mm focal length.
The Find X8 has features like an AI Telescope Zoom that utilises generative AI algorithms to improve the quality of zoomed images. This technology helps in preserving clarity and accuracy even at extreme zoom levels, which can reach up to 120x. It also has Lightning Snap, which allows users to take burst shots of up to 200 images in 30 seconds, which is useful in scenarios where timing is crucial, like when taking images of fast-moving objects like cars or athletes in sporting events.
When it comes to cameras, it is an excellent device. It has a lot of value for money and provides amazing performance at its price.
