We are just a few days away from 2025, and like 2024, multiple exciting phones are planned to launch in the upcoming year. Today, we have a list of exciting smartphones launching in January 2025. Read this article to the end to know more.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series is one of the most anticipated launches of 2025! Everyone is excited to see what improvements Samsung has made in the phones compared to the previous generation. Also, as we know Samsung has been the camera king among Android phones for a long time but in the last 2-3 years, brands like Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo are giving tough competition or we can say that they are able to beat Samsung. It will be interesting to see the comparison of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with the likes of vivo X200 Pro, OPPO Find X8 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Talking about the phones, it’s rumoured that there will be 4 phones in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 and S25 Slim. All four phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and are expected to be equipped with 12GB RAM from the base variant. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to have rounder corners as compared to the sharp corners in the S24 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch on 22nd January 2025 but we don’t have a confirmed launch date as of now.
OnePlus 13 Series

OnePlus is also launching its flagship lineup, the OnePlus 13 series on 7th January globally including India. OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R and OnePlus Buds Pro 3. The OnePlus 13 can be a good option for a person looking for an all-rounder package and that too for around ₹70,000. It can be the go-to choice if you don’t want to spend around ₹100,000 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra or the X200 Pro.
The OnePlus 13R will be priced around ₹40-45k, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The OnePlus 13R will also have some other exciting upgrades, such as a 6000mAh battery, rumours of a Telephoto lens and more. So, along with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R are also some of the most exciting smartphones launching in January 2025. realme 14 Pro Series

realme’s number series is also expected to launch in January 2025. This year, these phones will have a colour-changing pack panel design where the pack panel will change its colour at low temperature. Also, both the phones – realme 14 Pro and realme 14 Pro Plus will have a telephoto camera. Also, these phones will have triple flash at the back which will help in capturing amazing photos.
POCO X7 Series
POCO is famous for providing unbelievable specifications in their phones for the price. Last year they launched their Poco X6 and X6 Pro and those phones were one of the most powerful phones in their respective price ranges. They are again ready with the X7 series to repeat the same.
POCO X7 and POCO X7 Pro will launch on 9th January 2025 at 05:30 PM IST. The X7 Pro is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra Chip which is said to be slightly less powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which is last year’s Qualcomm’s flagship processor. Interestingly, this phone will be priced under ₹30,000. Also, it is said to have a 6000mAh battery and 90W fast charging support.

Talking about the POCO X7, it is rumoured to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra and a 5100mAh battery which will support 45W fast charging. Both the phones will run on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. These phones are expected to be launched in January 2025 in India.

Xiaomi Pad 7

Xiaomi Pad 7 is launching in India on 10th January. This will be the successor of the Xiaomi Pad 6. Xiaomi Pads are famous for their value-for-money specs. It’s expected to be priced under ₹25,000i Here are the expected specifications –
- 11.2-inches 3K 144Hz LCD display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset
- 13MP rear camera
- 8MP rear camera
- 8850mAh battery with 45W charging support
- HyperOS 2 for Pad
iQOO Neo 10 Pro

iQOO is expected to launch the successor of its Neo 9 Pro, the iQOO Neo 10 Pro in January end. This smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset and will feature a 6.78” 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. Rumours state that it will pack a 6100mAh battery inside which will support 120W charging. It will run on FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15 and it’s expected to be priced around ₹30-35K.
ASUS ROG Phone 9

ASUS will probably launch its gaming phone, the ROG 9 in January end or the start of February. The ASUS ROG series is famous for its performance. Here are its specs –
- 6.78-inches FHD+ flat LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate (can reach upto 185Hz refresh rate in particular game).
- Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset based on 3nm
- 50MP main Lytia 700 (1/1.56”) + 13MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro camera setup
- 32MP selfie camera
- 5800mAh battery with 66W charging
- Dual Stereo-Speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.4, WIFI 7, IP68 rating
OPPO Reno 13 Series

As per leaks, the OPPO Reno series will also be launched in January 2025. Two Phones, OPPO Reno 13 and OPPO Reno 13 Pro will be launched. It’s rumoured that both these phones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Pro model will have a 50MP Telephoto lens too.
