iQOO is known for its high-performance devices at an affordable price. iQOO started off the year with the iQOO 12 powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, which was priced very aggressively. Now, iQOO is planning to release the iQOO Neo9 Pro, which is going to compete with the likes of the OnePlus 12R. Here, we will take a look at everything you need to know about the iQOO Neo9 Pro. So, let’s get started.

iQOO started teasing the phone in early January, but the launch date appears to be quite far away, now set for February 22, 2024. iQOO Neo9 Pro will be sold via Amazon and the landing has not yet gone live.

As mentioned earlier, iQOO has already started teasing the phone and hence the landing page is live on iQOO’s official website.

iQOO Neo9 Pro Overview

The iQOO Neo9 Pro that’s launching in India is a rebadged version of the vanilla iQOO Neo9 that launched in China last December. This means that the iQOO Neo9 Pro will sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is undoubtedly the best one you can get in the price range.

Apart from the chip, the iQOO Neo9 Pro will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for fast read and write speeds. Plus, the Adreno 740 GPU should have no problem handling heavy tiles like Genshin Impact.

There is also a large 6K Canopy VC liquid cooling chamber with an area of 6043mm² to keep your phone cool during heavy gaming sessions.

As for the display, the phone will sport a 6.78” 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The display can also get plenty bright with up to 1400 nits in high-brightness mode (HBM) and 3000 nits in peak brightness mode (HDR).

To run all these high-end display specs, iQOO has installed a dedicated Q1 display chip that intelligently optimizes the display for the best viewing experience.

On the rear, the iQOO Neo9 Pro houses a dual camera setup comprising a main 50MP IMX920 lens with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide with 119⁰ FOV. You can shoot up to 8K videos from the main camera and up to 1080p from the 16MP selfie camera.

As for battery and charging, the iQOO Neo9 Pro has a large 5160mAh cell with support for up to 120W fast wired charging. The charger comes bundled inside the box although there is no support for wireless charging.

The phone will boot into Android 14 out-of-the-box. Although there is no information on the software support, we can expect iQOO to offer at least 3 years of major OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

Other miscellaneous things include an IP54 rating, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, X-Axis linear motor for haptics, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, NFC, and a USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.
