Apple just unveiled Apple Vision Pro with a new and powerful M5 Chipset and a Dual-Knit Band, which is more comfortable than the previous generation.

Performance
Apple Vision Pro with the all-new powerful M5 chip used in the latest M5 iPad Pro and M5 MacBook Pro for better performance, improved display rendering, faster AI-powered workflows, and improved battery life, compared to the first-gen Apple Vision Pro.
The new M5 chipset is built on 3-nm technology. It features an advanced 10-core CPU for higher multithreaded performance and faster experiences throughout the system.
There are developers who are creating new enterprise tools that blend spatial computing and on-device AI.

The M5 Chipset with Apple Vision Pro also renders 10% more pixels on the custom micro-OLED displays compared to the last-gen Vision Pro, resulting in sharper visuals, better text visibility, and increased detailing of visuals.
Vision Pro with M5 works paired with the R1 chip, processes input from 12 cameras, five sensors, and six microphones, and streams new images to the displays within 12 milliseconds for a real-time view of surroundings.
The 16-core Neural Engine makes AI-powered features run up to 50% faster for system experiences like capturing a Persona or transforming photos into spatial scenes, and up to 2x faster for third-party apps compared to the last-gen Vision Pro.

Design
The New Vision Pro with M5 Chipset and soft and cushioned Dual Knit Band for a comfortable fit. The Dual Knit Band comes with upper and lower straps that are 3D-knitted as a single piece, resulting in a dual-rib structure. This unique design offers exceptional cushioning, breathability, and stretch.

The lower strap uses flexible fabric with tungsten inserts for better comfort, balance, and stability.

It also has a dual function fit for easily fine-tuning and adjusting for the perfect fit.

Display
M5 Vision Pro features a custom micro‑OLED display system with more pixels than a 4K TV for each eye, 23 million pixels.

Miscellaneous
Apple’s M5 Vision Pro also features Apple’s most advanced Spatial Audio system yet, and using AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods 4 offers lossless audio with ultra-low latency.

The all-new Vision Pro also supports Responsive and precise eye tracking, with LEDs and infrared cameras

It also features a sensor array with a pair of high-res cameras, which help deliver precise head and hand tracking and real‑time 3D mapping

visionOS 26
As the Apple Vision Pro has an M5 chip, it can increase the refresh rate up to 120 Hz for reduced motion blur while looking at its physical surroundings and an even smoother experience while using Mac Virtual Display.
visionOS 26 also offers powerful spatial experiences and supports 180- and 360-degree and wide field-of-view video from action cameras made by Canon, Insta360, and GoPro.

With the release of iPadOS 26.1 this fall and the upcoming arrival of the Apple Vision Pro app on iPadOS, users will have a fantastic opportunity to explore new content, organize apps and games for download, discover helpful tips, and conveniently access information about their Vision Pro.
There are currently over 1 million apps available for Apple Vision Pro. Vision Pro users can enjoy new series and films on the Apple TV app
