Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series, an upgrade to the Tab S10 series, which was introduced a year ago. The S11 series brings several changes, including a more powerful processor. They removed some features, such as Bluetooth connectivity for the S Pen, from the S11 series.
Design

The Galaxy Tab S11 series somehow has a slimmer body than the S10 series while featuring a slightly larger battery. The S11 features a smaller design since Samsung decided to kill the S10+, so we got a smaller S11 and a bigger S11 Ultra, and the weight is around 40g heavier than the S10 Ultra and .3mm thinner than the S10 Ultra.
However, these differences might be due to the components removed by the removal of the S Pen’s Bluetooth, which makes the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5.1 mm thin and 692 g in weight, and the S11 5.5 mm and 471 g in weight. Both models are protected by aluminium armour for durability, despite their thinness. In terms of colour options, the Tab S11 series is available in two shades: grey and silver.
Display

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series features the same displays as the last generation, although some aspects have been improved. They removed the S11+ this gen, since every generation, there used to be three tabs: the + and a normal one and the ultra to lead them, but this time there are the base and the ultra, and the notch on the ultra is a bit smaller because we are getting a single camera layout.
The Displays are, we are getting a big 14.6-inch display on the S11 Ultra, which has anti-reflective coating on the display and has Dynamic AMOLED 2X for the vivid colours, and a smaller 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display without the reflective coating, and both feature the same peak brightness of 1600 nits and HBM of 1000 nits and 5.2 mm of bezels that extend the screen space of the displays.
Performance
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series gets the most powerful CPU in this series. The Dimensity 9400+ has 33% in NPU, 24% in CPU, and 27% in GPU, which is pretty good since it’s been 1 year since the launch of the Tab S10, and it features great thermal management just so that it can handle the beast inside the Tab S11 series, and for the first time, it gets a 3 nm processor on the Tab S11 series.
With the help of the Samsung Book Keyboard Slim, you can access AI assistants with the help of the Galaxy AI key. Using Samsung DeX, you can switch to extended mode, which makes the Tab S11 and an external monitor’s display accessible simultaneously. Users can create four separate workspaces, which is kind of great since we can use one workspace on the S11 and others on the external monitor.
Cameras
The Galaxy Tab S11 features the same camera setup, a 13 MP sensor on the back and a 12 MP sensor on the front, while the S11 Ultra’s camera setup has changed. In the rear setup, it’s the same; we are getting the 13 MP wide camera with an 8 MP ultra-wide. And in the front, where the S10 Ultra had a setup of a 12 MP wide camera with a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, this year they have removed the 12 MP wide camera, so we just get an ultra-wide camera on the front display, leading to a smaller notch on the display compared to the previous generation.
Battery
The S11 gets the same battery, but it looks smaller because we didn’t get the + edition this time, and the S11 Ultra gets a minor bump in the battery size this generation since we are getting an 11600 mAh battery vs. an 11200 mAh battery, but with a more efficient chip, etc., we can get more battery on both tablets, and the charging speed remains the same too this gen, with 45 W charging supported on both tablets.
OS
Both the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra feature the One UI 8 on board this gen, and it has a lot of interesting tools included with the Tab too this generation, which are the drawing assist, writing assist, etc, and the S Pen features better tilt for better drawing, and it includes quick tools to help draw better, and sticky notes help the user to keep the information alongside them.
Price of Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Series
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series is priced at Tab S11 starting at 12+128 ₹80,999, 12+256 ₹85,999, and 12+512 ₹96,999 for the Wi-Fi-only variant, and the 5G variant starts at 12+128 ₹93,999 and 12+256 ₹98,999 for the 5G variant. The S11 Ultra starts at ₹110,999 for the 12+256 variant and ₹121,999 for the 12+512 Wi-Fi variant, and ₹124,999 for the 12+256 variant and ₹135,999 for the 12+512 variant, and these are for the 5G variants. We get a ₹6000 instant discount on the S11, and the S11 Ultra gets a ₹10000 HDFC Bank discount, which makes the price decent, and we also get a 45W charger for free if we pre-order.
Conclusion
I believe Samsung should consider reducing the bezel size of the Galaxy Tab S11. Considering the other companies are actually giving us a better screen-to-body ratio, etc. Yes, the S Pen is included, which is Awesome. However, the Removal of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, while it does improve battery efficiency, represents a drawback.
