Reputed analyst and leaker Ming Chi Kuo revealed that Apple could launch its rumoured foldable iPhone, reportedly called the iPhone Ultra, which is apparently following a rollout strategy like the iPhone X.

Details of Foldable iPhone Ultra
According to him, the foldable iPhone Ultra might be announced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, like the iPhone X and iPhone 8 back then. Limited supply might mean the first sales occur in early November.
Regarding information on supply, the Apple iPhone Ultra will have low initial production, with Apple reportedly expecting only 7 to 8 million Ultra units to ship in the second half of 2026. Then, just 500k to 1 million units may be ready during the third quarter, which may cause early buyers to face a long waiting time.
Coming to the expected price range, the Apple iPhone Ultra is expected to be roughly $2,300 to $2,500, positioning the Ultra at the premium end of the smartphone market.
According to the info, interested buyers may need to pre-order or wait for later production runs.
The high price and limited supply will make the foldable iPhone Ultra a niche smartphone, and later adaptations like the Z Fold series will depend on future reductions in pricing and an increase in production.
