Honor Win RT 2 has launched in China, and it’s an upgrade to Win RT, which launched last year. It may also be Honor’s flagship killer phone of 2026, considering the price they have set for the phone.
Design
The Honor Win RT 2 comes in three colours: Red, Blue, and Black. There’s also a partially transparent window that features a translucent texture. More rounded corners also make it easy to grip during intense battles, and the curvature is designed to fit comfortably, making it appear thinner and more comfortable to hold for extended periods.
Display
The Honor Win RT 2 features a 6.89-inch OLED display with 1440p (2k) resolution and a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz, which is pretty good for a phone, but not many games and applications support it, so you will be limited to 144 Hz in applications. It also has 10000 nits of maximum peak brightness with 0.93 mm bezels, which are made from high-precision laser technology with a borderless field of view on the display and 1 nit of minimum brightness on the display, and it has a 5000 Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate along with a massive 5920 Hz PWM dimming rate, but this is only used when it’s at 144 Hz or higher refresh rates.
Performance
The Honor Win RT 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which may feel old when you see the phone. The older Win RT had the 8 Elite, so yeah, it’s a worthy upgrade, and it brings 32% faster CPU performance and 25% better GPU ray tracing performance, along with 37% faster NPU performance. And the phone is paired with the highest-end LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1 for its memory and storage configuration. The phone also features a cooling fan, which quickly dissipates heat during gaming, making it 6 degrees cooler within 30 seconds of turning on rapid cooling.
The built-in cooling fan can be adjusted with 4 speed modes: Quiet, Performance, Violent, and Equilibrium, and you can adjust the fan speeds according to different scenarios, balancing performance and noise management. It features industry-first double-arc fan blades with the golden ratio conform and release powerful heat-dissipation performance, and the total air volume has been increased by 135%, and noise has been reduced by 9% from its predecessor.
Camera
The Honor Win RT-2 features a 200 MP main camera with OIS support, and it also features CIPA 6.0 professional-grade image stabilization for the main camera, and it’s a 1/1.55-inch sensor, and it is coupled with a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and it also features a 50 MP front-facing camera, which supports 4K video recording, and the phone also features 30x digital zoom on the phone, which is a big feat considering the phone doesn’t come with a telephoto camera, and the phone records 4K 60 fps on the back camera with 4K video recording on the front camera.
Battery
The Honor Win RT 2 features a 12070 mAh battery, which is based on the next-generation Qinghai Lake 5.0 system, using nano-spherical silicon materials. All of the Win RT-2 are equipped with E2 chips for more battery life. It supports 90 W of supercharge via wired charging, supports 27 W wired super reverse charging, and also has bypass charging.
OS
The Honor Win RT 2 is built on Magic OS 11, which is based on Android 17, and it should receive around 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates, which come with features like background keep-alive, which keeps the game running in the background. This is important if you are downloading the resource packs, and it comes with near-field update pack transfer, which means one person can download the game, but the whole dorm can play the game.
Pricing
The Honor Win RT 2 is priced at 4499 for the 12+256 variant, which should be around 3649 after Honor discounts. The 12+512 is priced at 5199, which should be around 4499 with the offer, and the 16+256 at 4899, which with the offer should be priced at 4049, and the top-end variant, the 16+1512, is priced at 5499 and should be priced at 4649 with the offer, when converted to INR, the 12+256 is 52k and 62k for the 12+512 variant, the 16+256 variant is priced at 58k and the top-end 16+512 variant at 66k.
