vivo has launched the vivo V70 Elite in India, introducing an 8-series chipset to the V series. This makes the device a powerhouse for both performance and photography. Additionally, it addresses some previous issues and revives the essence of the V40 Pro, offering a strong focus on camera capabilities and performance after two years of anticipation.

The vivo V70 Elite features a forged metal design on the sides of the smartphone, offering a sleek look and exceptional strength. The precisely rounded corners of the smartphone enhance grip comfort and feel natural during prolonged use. The floating camera module, crafted from aerospace aluminium, features faceted highlights that catch and reflect the lights in the thickness of the smartphone. It’s 7.4 mm in the authentic black and 7.6 mm for the rest of the variants, and 187 g for the authentic black and 194 g for the rest of the colours. The phone features passion red, sand beige, and authentic black as the colours. It features IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.
Display
The vivo V70 Elite boasts a 6.59-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an impressive peak brightness of 5000 nits. It supports 1 billion colours and features ultra-thin bezels measuring just 0.125 cm, which Vivo claims are the narrowest in the segment. Additionally, the display is HDR10+ certified for enhanced colour accuracy. The device features the 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint 2.0, which will unlock the phone when it’s dirty or in wet hands
Performance
The vivo V70 Elite is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a significant upgrade from the 7 Gen 4 found in the V60. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is built on a 4 nm process node and achieves a score of 1.88 million on the Antutu benchmark. The smartphone also includes LPDDR5x for RAM and UFS 4.1 for storage. For the first time in the V series, it features an x-axis linear motor that provides 4D gaming vibration. To keep the device cool during gaming and demanding tasks, the Vivo V70 Elite is designed with a large vapour cooling system measuring 4200 mm², which is 12% larger than that of the previous generation.
Cameras
The vivo V70 Elite features a 50MP OIS main camera, and it also features a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The smartphone also features an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and it comes with a 50MP selfie camera. It features 4K 60fps video recording with zoom clarity, and it also features 4K HDR video recording with AI audio noise eraser. It features 85mm and 100mm close-up Zeiss portraits, and it also features a suite of AI features like AI magic landscape and AI retouch that make the photos shine, AI eraser, and AI upscaler with AI natural portrait, making every portrait feel real, detailed, and naturally flattering.
Battery
The vivo V70 Elite features a massive 6500 mAh bluevolt silicon carbon battery that supports 90 W flash charging for faster recharging. It also features multi-scenario bypass charging, which directs power straight to the battery during intense gaming or streaming. This helps reduce heat, keeps the device cooler, and ensures performance stability.
OS
The vivo V70 Elite comes with Origin OS 6 based on Android 16 pre-installed out of the box, and it features four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates. It features Origin Island and Origin Smooth Engine for the best performance of the smartphone, with 35% higher animation efficiency and tap to share.
Pricing
The vivo V70 Elite is priced at 51,999 for the 8+256 variant, the 12+256 variant at 56,999 and the 12+512 variant at 61,999. The device features a 2500 INR instant discount on Axis, HDFC, and Kotak for the 8GB variant and a 3000 INR instant discount for the 12GB variant and a 5200 INR instant discount on EMI purchases, and it increases by the variant up to 6200 INR, and these discounts bring the phone to 49500 for the 8+256 variant and 53,999 for the 12+256 variant and 58,999 for the 12+512 variant.
