vivo has recently announced the Vivo T4 5G in India, and it comes as a successor to the vivo T3 5G. It comes with many of the flagship features from the vivo V series at a more affordable price point.
Design and Build
vivo T4 5G comes with the vivo design we have seen from vivo phones for a while now. vivo T4 is IP65 rated. It comes in two color options: Emerald Blaze and Phantom Grey. It has a plastic frame with a matte finish. It supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, IR blaster, but it does not come with NFC.

Display
The vivo T4 5G has a larger display compared to the T3, 6.77-inch Full HD AMOLED with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for HDR10+. This supports up to 5000 nits peak brightness and 1300 nits on high brightness mode, according to vivo. It has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. It also supports HDR playback on YouTube and Netflix.

Performance
While the vivo T3 features Dimensity 7200, the vivo T4 5G comes with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with an Adreno 720 GPU. The T4 5G comes with 8/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Cameras
vivo T4 5G comes with a similar back camera setup to the Vivo T3 5G from last year. The main camera comes with a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor. There’s no ultrawide camera, but it comes with a 2MP depth sensor and Aura light for low-light photography. The selfie camera is a 32MP sensor. It supports video recording up to 4K 30 fps from both the rear and selfie cameras.

Battery and Charging
The phone has a 7300mAh battery, with support for 90W fast charging. The Type-C port on the phone is only USB 2.0. The large battery capacity is great, even though there is no wireless charging.
Software
vivo T4 runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 out of the box. It will get 2 OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates. It comes with features like AI Eraser, AI Super Document, Circle to Search, and Link to Windows. Funtouch OS 15 does come with a lot of bloatware.
Audio
vivo T4 5G only comes with a mono speaker, a downgrade from the stereo speakers of vivo T3. It has Widevine L1 support for HD streaming.
Pricing in India
The vivo T4 5G is available in three variant options in India, which are priced as below on the vivo India website:
8GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹21,999.
8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹23,999.
12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹25,999.

vivo T4 5G is available through Flipkart, Vivo India eStore, and offline stores, with launch offers including a ₹2000 bank discount with HDFC, SBI, and Axis Bank cards, a ₹2000 exchange bonus, and no-cost EMI up to 6 months.
My Suggestion
However, I would suggest you get a OnePlus Nord 4 or Nothing Phone (3a) available for similar prices on Amazon.
OnePlus Nord 4 comes with much more premium hardware. vivo T4 has a bigger battery, but I feel this phone needs a very substantial price drop before it can be recommended to someone. OnePlus Nord 4 comes with a metal build, a dual camera system, and longer software support. The OnePlus Nord 4 can be bought for similar prices during sale.
Nothing Phone 3a comes with a unique design, a clean NothingOS with 3 OS updates, and it starts at ₹25k.
I have personally used both Nord 4 and Phone 3a, both are great phones for their prices. Phone 3a has better cameras than Nord 4, and both phones support NFC, come with an ultrawide camera, unlike the T4 5G. Both have less bloatware. Nothing Phone has easily lasted me for a day with 20% remaining in heavy usage. Both provide a better software experience in my opinion. OnePlus Nord 4 is more powerful as it comes with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and UFS 4.0.
Both have stereo speakers.
Conclusion
vivo T4 5G comes with a 7300mAh battery, and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to the midrange market, at ₹21,999 (or ₹19,999 with bank discounts). But, its mono speaker, no ultrawide camera, bloatware, and 2-year OS updates are not the best. Phones like the OnePlus Nord 4 and Nothing Phone 3a offer more for similar prices, making them better for the price.
