2025 has gone by fast. Prices will rise in 2026, and now is the best time to buy a new phone for cheaper. Here are the top 5 best smartphones under 15000.
Here are some things to note. At this price, you should/can expect:
- Dimensity 7300 or higher
- Usually a high refresh rate LCD screen
- Charger in the box
- UFS 3.1 is recommended, but UFS 2.2 is OK if you are a light user
- Usable single main camera
It’s already hard to find good phones in this segment, so here’s a great unbiased list:
iQOO Z10x 5G
The iQOO Z10x 5G is available on Amazon for ₹14,999. It has a decently fast Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with UFS 3.1, which is appreciated at this price. While the screen is lacking, it’s still usable with FHD+ 120Hz 1000 nits display. The upcoming OriginOS 6 software experience (in the first half of 2026) will push people to buy this phone due to a much more mature software.

Tecno Pova 7 5G
The Tecno Pova 7 5G phone sells on Flipkart for ₹14,249. It’s expected in this price range to at least have a Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with UFS 2.2. The software isn’t that great, but it will do the job. Unfortunately, it still has an LCD screen at 144Hz. What’s interesting is that it has 30W wireless charging, which is unique in this segment. The design gives Nothing-esque vibes, if that’s something you care about.

realme P4x 5G
Here’s a newly launched realme P4x 5G smartphone that looks to be a good value! While realme isn’t that reliable in long-term usage, it can be excused in this budget segment. It offers a slightly more powerful Dimensity 7400 Ultimate and is paired with UFS 3.1. As expected from this segment in 2025, it has a 144Hz FHD+ LCD 1000 nits display.

Infinix Note 50x 5G+
This is the cheapest phone in this list, selling for ₹13,499. It has a Dimensity 7300 and is paired with UFS 2.2. The software experience is similar to the software experience found on Tecno phones. There’s nothing like a standout feature in this phone, so don’t keep your hopes too high… It’s just a reliable device which doesn’t put a huge dent in your pocket.

If you can stretch a LITTLE higher, here is one more option:
Lava Play Ultra
Indian phone manufacturers are mostly incompetent. However, Lava isn’t one. It is available for ₹15,998. This phone is equipped with Dimensity 7300 and UFS 3.1. A standout feature can be the 120Hz AMOLED screen. Unfortunately, while the software is bloat-free and is close to the “stock Android” vibe, it still has design inconsistencies and is not the best optimised.
