Samsung has launched the F06 in India. It’s a successor to the F05, which launched last year. The Samsung F06 is a 5G smartphone, and Samsung is trying to position it as its cheapest 5G phone.
Design

Samsung is trying something new in the phone design department. They have changed the camera design for the smartphone to one of their older designs because the last time the camera lenses were both separated, but now it’s integrated again, though the colours look a bit good when you compare both of them because the F05 had a single-tone design, but now it’s a dual-tone design with waves like the design on the smartphone. The Samsung F06 looks good in colour selection, and speaking of the colours, it has two colours: Bahama Blue and Lit Violet, and the phone has two cameras on the back.
Display
The display doesn’t look good, honestly, considering that you are just getting a 6.7 PLS HD+ display with a refresh rate of only 60 Hz. Honestly, if it were HD+, Samsung could have included a 90 Hz panel, but they opted for a lower-quality option. Most phones in the segment feature an FHD display, or if the device doesn’t have an FHD display, at least they offer you a 90 Hz panel. Honestly, it seems they are focusing on brightness and opting for a 60Hz panel instead of a fluid 90Hz panel.
Performance

The performance of the phone looks good because it features a Dimensity 6300 chipset under 10k, which scores an AnTuTu score of 420k, but if you are looking to purchase the phone, I would suggest you get the 6 GB variant of the phone, which is priced above 10000, but 6 GB is a good option vs. the 4 GB RAM, considering that 6 GB has become a minimum norm for the latest phones so that you don’t hit a performance bottleneck with the phone, but the phone features a 128 GB storage option as a base, which looks good because if Samsung got a 64 GB variant, half of the storage will be full.
Camera
The phone features a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth camera so you can say you have a single-camera smartphone. The depth camera is just there to provide the smartphone to say that it’s a dual-camera phone, but the 2nd camera wouldn’t have any use in the phone. It’s a marketing gimmick from Samsung, and the phone features an 8 MP selfie camera, and the phone can record 1080p videos either from the front or the rear camera.
Battery
The phone features a 5000 mAh battery that supports super-fast charging up to 25 watts. Under typical usage, the phone might last you a full day in a normal use case. The newer processor in the F06 allows the F06 to last longer than the F05, despite both of them having the same 5000 mAh battery.
OS

The phone comes pre-installed with One UI 7. It is the second phone from Samsung to feature the One UI 7 software, receiving it even before the S24 series, and the phone is guaranteed to have four years of OS updates. However, this might seem like a gimmick given the dimensity 6300 chip, as four years of OS updates could slow the phone over time. It will receive four years of security updates
Pricing of Samsung F06
The Samsung F06 Price starts at 9999 for the 4/128 variant and 11,499 for the 6/128 variant. The phone also has 500 off on all bank credit and debit card transactions, and the sale for the smartphone starts on February 20, 2025. You can consider getting this phone if you are limited to Samsung and have a lower budget; otherwise, you can check out the others like the Poco M6 Plus and M6 Pro, which are available in the same price range.
