realme has officially announced its return as an OPPO sub-brand and will be joining OnePlus under a combined OPPO-led ecosystem. This changes the internal leadership but keeps realme’s same identity for everyday users.
OPPO will remain at the highest position of the smartphone lineups, and OnePlus and realme will be under OPPO as two separate sub-brands with different audiences as targets.
All three companies are expected to have more capability in terms of technological R&D Development.
Coming to the realme side, they will no longer be fully independent, but they will be managed as part of OPPO.
realme phones might still have their own design, features, and marketing methods, even with OPPO managing them.
On the after-sales service or replacement, realme customers will now use OPPO’s service centres for claiming warranty, service or replacement. This might make it better for flexibility and expand access to service centres in many places, as OPPO’s service centre support is larger.
This benefits both brands by reducing costs in terms of production, marketing, support and R&D this means both brands might share parts or designs for speeding up production and being cost-efficient.
Software of both realme and OPPO, even OnePlus, is too closely similar except for minor design and feature changes.
