Realme has launched the realme GT8 Pro in China, with several improvements over the realme GT7 Pro, and to compete with the OnePlus 15, OPPO Find X9 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro. Here’s a detailed article on the realme GT8 Pro.
Display
Starting with the Display of the realme GT8 Pro, it’s a 6.79-inch BOE Q10+ OLED display with a flat display, 144Hz Refresh rate and a QHD+ resolution of 3136×1440px.
This Display is capable of up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness and supports 10-bit colour, 1-nit hardware-level eye protection, full DC dimming, and Dolby Vision.
realme GT8 Pro’s Display is capable of a substantial jump from GT 7 Pro’s 6.78-inch OLED at 120Hz and 6,500 nits.
This Display also has an in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor for better security and faster unlocking.
Performance
realme GT8 Pro is powered by the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chipset, while GT7 Pro is powered by the previous-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite. GT8 Pro also has an in-house R1 gaming display chip. The GT8 Pro features an LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage.
Performance & Battery
Realme GT8 Pro features a large 7,000mAh battery, which supports up to 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging, compared to 5,800mAh in GT 7 Pro, but the same 120W Wired Charging. But wireless and reverse wireless charging differ.
realme GT8 Pro is slimmer and lighter despite having a larger battery and advanced Vapor Chamber cooling, compared to realme GT7 Pro.
Cameras
realme GT8 Pro introduces a modular, interchangeable camera module, which is unique. On the back, the GT8 Pro has a Ricoh GR-Tuned 50MP main with Ricoh GR anti-glare and OIS, 50MP Ultra-wide and an Impressive 200MP HP5 periscope telephoto with OIS and support for 3x optical zoom. On the Front, there is a 32MP Selfie Sensor.
Compared with the GT8 Pro, the GT7 Pro had a 50MP Main and 50MP Telephoto and an 8MP Ultra-wide sensor.
Software
realme GT8 Pro runs Realme UI 7 based on Android 16 out of the box.

realme GT8 Pro has an Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint, Dual stereo speakers, 7,000mm² Vapour Chamber cooling, X-axis linear motor for haptics, and S1 signal chip.
realme GT8 Pro is rated IP66/68/69 for dust and water resistance.
