OPPO Find X9 Ultra has been launched in China, which is good since OPPO is now competing with the big ultra segment, and they have refined the cameras this generation. The previous generation had a great camera setup, but yeah, it’s being improved.
Design

The design has a small change: the previous camera bump now looks curved, and the periscope design on the camera bump looks better than the previous versions. The gear is carved from a single piece of metal, a visual reproduction of the classic Hasselblad lens ring, and the orange light symbolises the professional imaging using the Hasselblad’s signature bright orange. There’s even an orange shutter button, a Hasselblad brand mark pays tribute to the Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer, and there are tundra umber and canyon orange.
Display
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra features a 6.82-inch display that features a 144 Hz refresh rate, it’s a 2K Pro-XDR display with 3600 nits of peak outdoor brightness, it supports Dolby Vision, it features OPPO’s own P3 Pro chip and a chip-level sub-pixel calibration, so there’s a pixel-level gamma calibration on the display, and for comfort, the display features 1 nit low brightness and eye-care dimming and AI adaptive eye care on the phone. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and it features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone even with wet hands.
Performance

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which brings a 20% boost in CPU performance, a 23% boost in GPU performance, and a massive 37% performance uplift in NPU performance, and thanks to the 3D Cryo-Velocity cooling system, it keeps the powerful smartphone cool, it features LPDDR5x for the RAM type and UFS 4.1 for the storage type, and thanks to the Oppo’s NetworkBoost S1 chip, its connection adapts in real-time. It strengthens the weak signals and accelerates download speeds and keeps the streaming smooth, delivering fast, reliable performance.
Cameras

The Find X9 Ultra features an impressive camera system that includes a 200MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, a massive 200MP telephoto camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a new generation true-colour camera and a huge portrait flash. It also features a 50MP selfie camera, and thanks to the new camera upgrades, the 200MP main camera now captures 10% more light. Additionally, it also comes with a Hasselblad 300mm explorer teleconverter, support for 4K HDR motion photos, a Hasselblad XPan mode and a Hasselblad Earth Explorer kit, which contains the teleconverter adapter and case. The device supports video recording at 8k 30fps with support for O-Log2.

Battery
The Find X9 Ultra comes with a massive 7050 mAh battery with a PowerCore battery management chip and advanced silicon-carbon technology. Thanks to the self-developed spherical silicon-carbon, it provides more energy density and a self-developed silicon anode algorithm for ultra-long battery lifespan. It features 100W SuperVOOC charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging.
OS

The Find X9 Ultra comes with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 pre-installed, and it features the smoothest animations. In China, it features the Lockscreen Island and desktop organisation with Oppo AI, and it comes with AI features like AI Mind Space, AI Bill Manager, AI Writer, and Touch to Share.
Pricing
The Find X9 Ultra starts at 7499 yuan for the 12+256GB variant, 7999 yuan for the 12+512 variant, 8499 yuan for the 16+512 variant and 9499 yuan for the 16+1TB satellite communication edition. These are pre-sale prices; the prices might change, and when converted to INR, the 12+256 variant is at 103k, the 12+512 variant at 110k, the 16+512 variant at 117k and the 16+1TB variant at 130k, which is great for an ultra-flagship, but if OPPO brings it to India by any chance, we might see a price increase.
