Motorola Edge 70 has been launched in India, and we will go through the Edge 70’s specifications and pricing quickly in this article.

This phone is composed of a thin Metal build and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i protection and is MIL-STD-810H certified. It also has Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The Edge 70 comes with a 6.7-inch Flat OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K, 120Hz refresh rate and goes up to 4500 nits in terms of peak brightness. This display also has an In-display fingerprint sensor.

Motorola Edge 70 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This chipset is paired with a 4600mm² vapour chamber for better heat dissipation for thermal management.

Should You Get It
Coming to the real question, should you buy it, and my answer would be NO.
Verdicts are that it does not have a telephoto lens, limiting zoom capabilities compared to other available options for the segment. It has several bloatwares in the Hello UX software.
I feel Motorola does not deserve to be bought at this price (at least for now), as it does not have a good service centre in India. Out of 8 phones sold, 6 phones are reported to have heating issues, especially during performance-intensive tasks or light gaming. Some heating issues are fixed via OTA updates, but not always.
Software Updates are always late, and connectivity issues are somewhat common in most of their phones. The cameras are mostly never consistent either.
If you want a smartphone under ₹30k, the options are Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, iQOO Neo 10R and Vivo T4 Pro.
Nothing provides a fairly cleaner UI, a unique enough Glyph interface, better cameras, and is priced at ₹26,980. UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X RAM are notable downgrades, though.
iQOO Neo 10R, on the other hand, is more of a performance-centric one, with better gaming experience, larger battery (6000mAh + 120W) and comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and UFS 4.1 Storage. This is also priced around ₹26,999.
Vivo T4 Pro has the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, but comes with a Bigger battery (6500mAh+90W), better cameras, and one of the best after-sales services in India (Same to iQOO also)
