Lava Launches the Powerful Lava Agni 3 in India – A Game-Changer!

The Lava Agni 3 has been launched in India, and it’s a successor of the Lava Agni 2. It’s looking like a solid improvement to its predecessor; let’s check it out.

Design

The Lava Agni 3 Features A big display on the back to make it look good and help you take good selfies from the camera. They have an action key that you can schedule for other usages, like double tapping to open the camera and single tapping for the flashlight, and it can do any shortcut and open any app. It comes in two stunning colors, Pristine Glass and Heather Glass, and for the speakers, it features dual stereo cameras with Dolby Atmos sound for a good audio experience, and it has IP64 dust and water resistance.

Display

The Lava Agni 3 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with HDR support and a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth display experience, and it features a 1 billion colour panel with 1200 nits of peak brightness and a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display also features a 1920Hz PWM dimming, which is good. 

The Agni 3 is equipped with a 1.76-inch AMOLED back display with HVGA resolution and 336 ppi. It can attend calls when your device is placed in a face-down position and music control without using the main display and can capture your pictures too. Also, Firey is on the back display, which responds to the notification with a live emoji.

Performance

Moving to the performance side, the Lava Agni 3 is powered by a dimensity 7300X chipset for those wondering what the chipset is. It’s a dimensity 7300 but with dual display support, which scores 7 lakhs on Antutu. It also features a 5000mm2 vapor cooling chamber, which is 70% larger than the previous generation and has a 3D performance graphene film and a copper dissipated 9-layer heat dissipation module.

Lava has integrated a hyper engine technology, which provides 20% higher performance and 20% higher efficiency than the previous generation to ensure smooth gaming. The phone has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for the best read and write speeds, and the device also has an X-axis linear motor for good haptics. Cameras

The Agni 3 features a triple-camera setup. The main camera includes an IMX 766 sensor with a large 1um size with OIS for stable videos while moving; it has an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom; it has an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119-degree FOV range so you can take those very wide photos with this lens; it has a 16MP selfie camera for those good selfies; it can record at 4k 30fps on the rear camera; and if you want some better selfies, you can record or take selfies with the 50MP sensor on the Agni insta screen.

Battery

The Lava Agni 3 has a 5000 mah battery with 66w of fast charging, and Lava claims that the phone can be charged from 0-50 in 19min and 0-100 in 53min, and it’s a minor uplift from the Agni 2, which had a 4700 mah battery, but the CPU on the Agni 3 is 20% more efficient than the Agni 2’s CPU. 

OS

The Lava Agni 3 comes with Android 14 pre-installed out of the box with 0 ads, bloatware, and unwanted apps, and it comes with 3 major OS that supports Android 15, 16, 17, and 4 years of security patches till 2028. 

Pricing

The prices start at the 8/128 model without a charger for those who have a charger at 20,999, 8/128 with a charger at 22,999, and 8/256 with a charger at 24,999, and with the introductory offers only SBI debit or credit gets these offers*; it becomes 19,999 with 8/128 (no charger). 20,999 8/128 with charger and 8/256 at 22,999, and the sale starts on 9th October at midnight; pre-booking starts from 4th October to 8th October; the pre-booking sale is on 8th October at noon. If you are using the Agni 2 and want to upgrade, you can get it at Rs 12,999 (8,000 off), and Agni users can upgrade to Agni 3 at 16,999 (4000 off). 

Verdict

The Agni 3 is a good phone for the segment. When you consider the offers, the Agni gives a good 1.5K curved display with 3 Android updates, a good CPU, a rear display, and no bloatware on the OS, so it’s going to be a good experience, and no fake cameras too, like all three cameras do work, not like a portrait, which is there for camera count.
