IEM (in-ear monitors) are becoming extremely popular these days more than before and people are ready to use them to see how they are better than TWS which cost more than these IEMs.

Many people who want to dive into the world of IEM are confused about which IEM to get earlier there didn’t used to be solid IEM that was cheap meaning under 1k and used to sound truly good without any compromise but now there is an IEM that is everyone’s favorite which is the KZ EDC Pro which is really good value for money IEM and performs Better then traditional earphones and TWS that cost more than 3X its price. While KZ is always shrouded in controversy let me assure you that KZ EDC Pro is the best in its price range.

Contents in the Box

The packaging of EDC Pro is very simple and small you get the drivers, wire, extra tips, and a warranty card. The box is small and doesn’t feature any special characters or anything just a print of the IEM on the front.

build quality

KZ EDC Pro

I ordered the KZ EDC Pro which has an OFC cable with Mic which cost me Rs 650 and KZ EDC Pro is also available with silver wire. The difference between both the worst is that OFC wire is not easily Tangled but is brittle while silver is easily Tangled but lasts longer, there is no difference in sound quality between the two. You can get the EDC Pro for as low as 590 which I would recommend to everyone.

KZ EDC Pro

The quality of the wire in KZ EDC Pro is nothing to rave about its decent, but it might last a little longer if you use it carefully. While the drivers feel solid don’t have any special design and have KZ EDC Pro etched into them. You also get two extra pairs of silicon tips.

While the unit I received was good, I have come to notice there are some quality control issues with some people’s units as reported by a user Quality Control is not great, some units have channel imbalance for both cable versions, some have hollow vocals- and yes while 1-decibel imbalance isn’t audible to many, this crosses that; it’s risky to spend if it’s uncertain.

sound quality

KZ EDC Pro

It is my first time using an IEM while I have used oppo Enco Buds 2, Realme Buds Wireless 2, and realme buds 2 wired. The IEM is better than them all in terms of sound Quality. It bass is warm and you can definitely feel the sharp treble at the end. The vocals are a bit granny you can feel it, the reproduction of instruments is not bad and it handles them decently nothing to rave about when it comes to guitars it struggles I found it while I was listening to You’re Beautiful by James Blunt it practically stood.

While seeing the graph You might think they are balanced and have a warm signature but sadly that’s not the case in my review I found them not balanced which was puzzling as they had the same graph as Libra. They also produce a slightly sharp sound compared to warm. One thing I can say about KZ EDC Pro as all its shortcomings can be somewhat fixed with EQ.

KZ EDC Pro

The reason EDC Pro is very valuable for money is because as you can see in the above chart it has the same tuning as the KZ libra while the KZ libra costs like Rs 1100. I haven’t tried Libra so I can’t say that they sound the same but the users who have tried Libra say that in real life libra is better than KZ EDC Pro and if you can extend your budget you are better off getting the Libra but if not then there are no better sounding IEM then this at its price range. I will recommend you to get the cheapest version of EDC Pro.

KZ does have some other options in its budget range the KZ EDX Pro & EDX Pro X but I will not recommend buying them as users have reported that their tuning is worse than that of EDC Pro and they aren’t worth it.
