Design and Build Quality
The CMF Buds Pro 2 immediately catch your eye with their unique design. The square case, with its rounded corners and functional dial, is both stylish and practical. I bought the blue version, which includes a rubber-finished case and glossy earbuds. One disadvantage is that the magnets aren’t strong enough to keep the earphones secure when the case is turned upside down and shaken.. CMF’s design language is interesting, with their earbuds and watches alternating between round and square shapes.
Controls, Connectivity, and Features
The smart dial on the CMF Buds Pro 2 is one of its best features; it allows you to adjust the volume, play/pause, skip tracks, and take calls. Many more capabilities are available when pairing the buds with the Nothing X app, including dual connection, high-resolution audio, LDAC compatibility, spatial audio, ANC up to 50db, and low-lag mode. The app also offers voice assistance with ChatGPT, making the buds even more versatile.
Sound Quality
The CMF Buds Pro 2 seems to be designed for bass lovers, featuring an 11 mm titanium-coated driver and a 6 mm tweeter. They are adept at handling a variety of musical styles, yet occasionally the bass takes center stage. You will undoubtedly enjoy it if you enjoy old Hindi songs. I listened to a lot of classical and old pop music while testing, and I discovered that the sound quality was decent considering the price. You can adjust the equalizer to suit your tastes, and it will produce a pleasing sound. For the price, the sound quality is excellent overall.
Battery Life, Call Quality, and ANC
Each bud has a 60mAh battery, with a 460mAh case. In my experience, they lasted around 11 hours with ANC off and 6.5 hours with ANC on, as claimed by the brand. With the case, the total usage time extends to an impressive 43 hours with ANC off and 26 hours with ANC on. Quick charging is a handy feature, though wireless charging isn’t available. Given the price point, the ANC is effective, particularly when making WhatsApp calls and outdoor phone calls, and call quality is quite decent both indoors and outside thanks to Clear Voice technology.
Verdict
After seven days of use, I find the CMF Buds Pro 2 to be a feature-rich and great-sounding option. Priced at ₹4,299, they offer excellent value with their smart dial, sound quality, ANC capabilities, and LDAC support. These earbuds are definitely a strong contender in the sub-₹5,000 range.
