Infinix has launched their new Note series, and today I am going to share my experience with the Infinix Note 50s of the last ten days. This review will contain my thoughts on the Infinix Note 50s 5G+, what I liked, and what I did not. And what all is there for improvement?
Let’s start with box content:
Handset, 45-watt charger, Type A to C cable, a solid matching TPU cover, stickers, safety guide, and warranty card

Pros
- Slim, lightweight design
- Vibrant curved 144 Hz AMOLED display
- Strong performance with Dimensity 7300 Ultimate
- Sharp, punchy daylight photos
Cons
- No expandable storage
- Heats up and lags outdoors
- Low-light photos need improvement.
Design
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is an extremely good and well-built phone. I really like the design of this phone with just 7.6 mm thickness. The body is mostly plastic, while the back side is curved with a matte finish, which gives it a premium look, and it is blended with the frame very nicely, which makes the phone very comfortable in the hand. And to add on the well-crafted buttons, the sleek design, and edges that are clean and smooth as anything, you will also find the words ‘Sound By JBL’ printed, which is yet another add-on in this device, but we will discuss that in our full review.
Display
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ has one of the best and most fluid displays I have seen in an affordable mid-ranger in quite some time. It offers a 6.78-inch 144Hz 3D curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution; the display has a 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut. Hence, it has a great gaming experience and is apt for photo and video editing. I have personally used Adobe Lightroom for editing the photos.
The display is punchy and very vibrant, making you feel like you are using a smartphone that is way higher in terms of pricing. I have binge-watched Suits L.A. to check the display quality, and to my surprise, it turned out to be too good to be true for that price point.
Cameras
Before talking about the cameras of the Note 50s, let’s talk about the camera module. It’s an eye-catching design with active halo lighting, which makes it different from others.
The Note 50s 5G+ is equipped with a 64-megapixel primary camera (Sony IMX 682 sensor), a 2 MP depth camera, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
The 64-megapixel camera is impressive; it takes really good photos with enough detail during the day or night. The low-light capabilities of the sensor, with the right amount of color saturation and exposure, and the daylight photos are punchy, vibrant, and sharp with a decent amount of color, which defines the good cameras at this price point, according to me.
The 16-megapixel front-facing camera is decent and does its work with a good amount of detail and accurate HDR. The front camera has beauty mode, portrait, super night modes, wide selfie, and AIGC portrait features, which make the camera more interesting and fun to use.
Let’s talk about videos now. Both the front and back cameras offer 4K 30 fps recording, and the video quality is better than I expected it to be. While I will prefer 1080p 60fps over 4k 30fps, having 4k from both the cameras that are under 20k is impressive, and the points go to Infinix there.

Performance
The Infinix Note 50s 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor (4nm TSMC) and the Mali G615 MC2 GPU. The SoC comes along with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The review unit I have has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while I feel the non-upgradable storage option is not that great.
I have tested so many games on this phone, like Asphalt Legend, BGMI, CODM, and Free Fire Max with max graphics, and it does hold up without lag or stutter.
Let’s talk about the benchmarks of the Note 50s, which will give you a clear idea about the device.
In Geekbench 6, the CPU benchmarks were 1013 in single-core and 3052 in multi-core. And in the Antutu benchmark, the phone scores around 566814. While in the CPU throttle test, the CPU throttle is around 71%. I will attach some images for further reference, and the in-depth testing review will be published later.

Battery
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is bundled with a 5500mAh battery with a 45-watt quick charger. Fitting a large battery in a slim chassis is something incredible that Infinix has done. The 5500 mAh battery in the Note 50s ensures a full day of battery life with excessive usage, and at the end of the day, it has almost 20 to 30% battery left.
Software
Software is where the fun begins. The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ comes with XOS 15 with Android 15 out of the box. Infinix is offering 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates. Infinix has a bad reputation in the software department, but now I can say they have improved it very well. XOS is the prime example of how you should take feedback from customers and reviewers. XOS is one of the best software I have used after Nothing OS.
There are several improvements in the UI and the UX of XOS. The UI feels smooth and has a lot of animation built in, with plenty of features. While talking about software, we should talk about AI features too, the Infinix AI, which includes Folax AI Assistant, AI Wallpaper Generator, Smart Translator, and many more useful…

Final Verdict
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is an overall all-rounder that ticks every box; it has set a new standard for what users can expect around ₹15,000–18,000. A beautiful 144Hz curved AMOLED screen, solid performance from the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate, versatile cameras, quick charging, and luxury-inspired design, all tied together with a steadily improving software experience. It does have a few cons as well: no upgradable storage, heating up outdoors, and low-light camera performance could be better… and I don’t personally find it a dealbreaker. However, it’s essential to weigh these drawbacks against the overall value it offers. For most users, the impressive features and performance make it a compelling choice in its price range.
