With the latest iteration, OPPO is taking it to the next level by giving it a major redesign and they are also adding many new features. Read this article till the end to know more. If you use a OnePlus or realme smartphone, the same features will be available in OxygenOS and realme UI as both these companies are a sub-brand of OPPO.

Leaked Features

Lock Screen Customisation

For a long time, users were demanding OPPO to add lock screen customisation in ColorOS and guess what? It’s finally here! In ColorOS 15, you will see various lock screen customisation options just like iOS where you will be able to use depth effect wallpapers, customise lock screen clock style and fonts. The lock screen in ColorOS 14 had only two different clock styles and nothing else but ColorOS is going to bring a big change where the biggest weakness will now be a strong thing.

Here are some leaked images of the ColorOS 15 lock screen which were shared by an X (previously known as Twitter) user –

New and Separate Control Centre

Looks like every Android smartphone maker wants to copy iOS. After HyperOS, Hello UI and XOS, ColorOS has also decided to copy the Control Centre of iOS. Also, the Notification Panel will be separate from the Control Centre just like iOS. Here is a comparison between the Control Centres of ColorOS 14 and ColorOS 15 –

Redesigned Battery Analytics Page

With the last update, OPPO removed the option to see the Screen-On-Time since the last charge and it showed the Screen-On-Time of the full day instead but they are going to include this again with the ColorOS 15 and also, they are redesigning the battery analytics page. Here is a first look at the new battery analytics page and its comparison with the older one –

Smart Island

This sounds like iOS’s Dynamic Island, Doesn’t it? Yes! This will work similarly to Apple’s Dynamic Island where you can use it for many things like tracking your food order, to play/pause video/song or to check battery charging status. This Smart Island was already available in the older version of ColorOS but OPPO is going to make it more functional with the latest iteration.

Final Words

This was all about the ColorOS 15. OnePlus and realme use the same skin in their devices by different names and you will get all of these features if you are using a phone from any of these companies.

ColorOS was already a leader in terms of animations and other features but lock screen customisation was something that it always lacked in but it seems that it’s slowly heading towards becoming the best Android skin. Only time will tell if it will be the best UI or will remain just an iOS copy. Tell us in the comments which feature you are excited the most for.
