Apple partners with Google in a multi-year deal, in which Google Gemini will power Apple intelligence and Siri. Google won’t be able to use users’ info as the requests will be processed on the device or through Apple’s Private Cloud Computing.
Through this deal, Gemini will support future Apple Intelligence features, which also include a personalised and more intelligent Siri.
After careful consideration, Apple has revealed that Google’s AI offers the strongest foundation for Apple’s Foundation Models. This decision comes with the promise to unlock innovative new experiences for Apple users, while maintaining Apple’s privacy standards.
With this Deal, it will be a major overhaul of Siri. The updated Siri will be a part of Apple Intelligence, and is expected to come along with iOS 26.4. It will also bring advanced features and deeper app integrations. This version will allow Siri to read and connect Data from Mail, Messages, and other apps for more proactive, personalised and conversational responses, all this under the deal that Apple partners with Google, in which Google Gemini will power Apple intelligence and Siri.
Features will also include understanding user context across apps, such as bringing flight details or lunch plans from existing messages and emails.
Excluding the iPhone, the new Siri may also help with Apple’s reportedly upcoming smart home device, HomePad, which apparently supports natural conversations and reminders.
