What is Galaxy Ring?
Samsung surprised everyone by suddenly sharing the video of their Galaxy Ring. This will be a smart ring that can measure your health and can work as a fitness tracker but in a very small form factor.The Tech Giant stated that it will be a “powerful and accessible health and wellness device, here to change the shape of future health like only Samsung can”.
This was kind of a reveal that no-one was expecting but Samsung was working over this from a long time. According to some sources, Samsung had already filed the trademark for the name “Galaxy Ring”. Brand is aiming to improve the body health measurement accuracy as compared to its smartwatches. It is expected that it will have many sensors to collect body and health data and it will be able to measure the heart beat , do sleep tracking and do can do many more things using your smartphone.
At the event, Matthew Wiggins (clinical research scientist at Samsung Research) also revealed the ‘My Vitality Score’ feature. This feature is expected to come with the Galaxy Ring and will show a score that will denote the mental and physical health of the user. This ring might be compatible with Samsung device only or better with Samsung devices. All of these features are just speculations, we will have to wait for Samsung to reveal further information about the product.
Price Expectations
Some sources say that the ring will come in 3 finishes and 13 different finger sizes. This indicates that first, the brand will send you a kit to measure to measure your finger size and then you can order the ring according to your size. If we look at the competition and their prices. It is expected to launch at 300-400$ price.
Launch Date of Galaxy Ring
As of now, there is no such information about the ring. Although, it is expected that Samsung might launch it later this year with its Galaxy Fold Smartphone lineup.
