Android Headlines published an article with CAD renders of Apple’s upcoming iPhone Fold competitor, Z Fold 8 Wide, which is said to launch at Samsung’s Summer Unpacked event alongside the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The CAD render shows the design of Fold 8 Wide to have a wide and short design similar to OPPO’s Fold N2. We can expect the Fold 8 Wide to feature a 5.4-inch outer cover display and a 7.6-inch inner foldable display.
Measurements According to Android Headlines Article:
- Unfolded: 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.9 mm (around 4.3 mm without the protruding bezels)
- Folded: 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm (14.6 mm with the camera bump)
The Fold 8 Wide is reported to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, paired with 12GB/16GB RAM options and 256GB to 1TB storage options.
Samsung is reportedly going for a 5,000 mAh battery, with support for 45W wired charging and maybe 25W wireless charging support. They should go for a ~6,000mAh battery, as it has a large screen. Maybe Samsung will match this using software optimizations.
We can expect pricing very similar to Apple’s iPhone Fold. Several reports point to ~$2000 pricing.
