2025 has seen many camera giants! So here are the top 5 best camera smartphones that have used their hardware and computational photography to the max.
vivo X300 Pro
These are the latest iteration of vivo X series, which were launched on October 13 2025, in China and on December 2 2025, globally. While the upgrade is iterative, it brings quality of life features and refinements. Additionally, there is a teleconverter kit available, which further enhances the versatility of the camera.

vivo X200 Ultra
This beast is unfortunately China-only, but it is definitely worth mentioning amongst the top camera phones launched this year. It arrived and smothered the competition on April 21 2025. This setup becomes further unstoppable with the exclusive-to-X200 Ultra teleconverter kit.

OPPO Find X9 Pro
Unlike the vivo X300 Pro, which has gotten iterative upgrades, the X9 Pro has gotten a far bigger change. The design has been revamped, though it can be considered a controversial change. Just like vivo, even OPPO offers their own version of the teleconverter, but just for the Pro model (unlike vivo, which offers it for both X300 and X300 Pro).

OPPO Find X8 Ultra
This is another beast that has launched in China only. It poses direct competition to the vivo X200 Ultra and can be considered as a more “complete” phone in the grand scheme of things.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra
This phone was technically launched in 2025, but only in China. It will later launch in global markets in 2026. What’s unique about this is that the Leica edition of this phone has a “manual zoom ring” where you can adjust the zoom by rotating the camera ring. Truly one of a kind.
