The Galaxy S24 series was just unveiled by Samsung at the Unpacked 2024 event. The highlight of the show was Galaxy AI, a set of AI features that make your phone more powerful and useful than ever.

These features are quite enticing, especially the Interpreter, Chat Assist, Circle to Search, and Live Translate. All of these features have been introduced as a key part of the S24 series and One UI 6.1.

Many Samsung users with an older generation phone are wondering if they will be getting these Galaxy AI features or not. Since most of the features are processed on the cloud, it makes sense for Samsung to bring these features to older devices as well.

Well, the good news is that Galaxy AI features will be coming to older Samsung devices. This was confirmed by an email by Samsung sent to Android Authority:

“Many of the Galaxy AI features introduced on Galaxy S24 will also be supported on previous models including Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series within 1H 2024. Please stay tuned for more details.”

List of Samsung Devices That Will Get Galaxy AI

Here is a list of all the Samsung devices that have been confirmed to get the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S23
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (Exynos and Snapdragon)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

When will these devices get the Galaxy AI update? Well, Samsung has confirmed that the update should be rolling out to all of these devices before June 2024.

Unfortunately, we don’t know which features of the Galaxy AI package will make their way to the above-mentioned devices. We can expect most of the features to be available, including Chat Assist, Notes Assist, Circle to Search, and more.

As for the devices that are not on the list, there is still a possibility that some of the features might make their way to them.

Galaxy AI seems to be a part of the One UI 6.1 update. Since many other Galaxy devices are eligible for One UI 6.1, we can expect Samsung to roll out Galaxy AI for more devices in the future.
