Comparison

Design and Build

Both phones have a polycarbonate back panel and a plastic frame, but the CMF has a replaceable back panel, whereas the Vivo has a normal non-replaceable back panel design. Design is always subjective, and different users might have different choices.

Display

The T4x 5G has an IPS display, whereas the CMF has an AMOLED panel. An OLED panel shows more premium colors and better blacks, and it also saves battery. In addition to the OLED display, CMF has an in-display fingerprint sensor too.

In the display department, CMF Phone 1 is better than the vivo T4x 5G.

Performance

Both the phones are powered by the same chip, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, which is a capable processor in this price segment. It scores above 700K in ANTUTU and will handle most of the popular games easily.

It’s a tie between both the phones in performance.

Software

The vivo T4x 5G boots on Funtouch OS based on Android 15 out of the box, whereas the CMF Phone 1 boots on Nothing OS 2.0 based on Android 14. Both phones will receive two years of Android version updates and 3 years of security patches.

Talking about the better UI, both UIs have full app-opening animations, which is rare to see in this price segment. Funtouch OS has an old-looking UI, and it comes with some pre-installed bloatware too. Also, there are Hot Games and Hot Apps folders that send you unwanted notifications, whereas Nothing OS is ad and bloatware-free. However, you can disable the notifications of these folders, and you can delete the unwanted apps.

UI on the CMF is better, but vivo has the advantage of an extra Android version update.

I think the software segment is also a tie between both the phones.

If you would have to buy any of these phones based on software, which one would you choose? Tell us in the comments!

Cameras

Both the devices have a 50MP + 2MP camera setup at the back. The CMF has an IMX 882 main sensor, which captures decent shots for its price. The vivo T4x has a smaller main camera sensor, according to what we heard, but we couldn’t find the name and size of the sensor but because of a bigger main camera sensor, Phone 1 will capture more detailed shots.

Talking about the selfie camera, vivo is equipped with an 8MP lens whereas the CMF is equipped with a 16MP lens.

CMF is better in terms of camera if we look at the specs.

Note: Check a camera review for a better understanding before buying the phone.

Battery and Charging

Vivo wins here by a huge margin as it packs a huge 6500mAh battery inside and supports up to 44W charging. The 6500mAh battery will easily give you around 1.5 to 2 days of backup, whereas CMF will give you around 1 day of backup with its 5000mAh battery. The Phone 1 supports 33W PD charging but you will have to buy the charger separately as the brand doesn’t provide you a charger inside the box. This will increase the cost of the device by ₹1000-1500.

Vivo T4x is a clear winner in the battery and charging department.

RAM and Storage

Both phones have LPDDR4x RAM, but vivo has a faster UFS 3.1 storage whereas the latter has UFS 2.2 storage. Due to a faster storage version, vivo will have a faster read and write speed, and apps will load faster.

Vivo is a winner in RAM and storage department.

Audio and Haptics

T4x has dual speakers whereas the Phone 1 has a single speaker. The haptic motor is similar on both phones.

Vivo wins in this department because of dual speakers.

Reasons to Buy the vivo T4x 5G

Bigger Battery: vivo has a much bigger battery as compared to CMF.

Charger included in the box: vivo is providing you the charger for free with the phone, whereas CMF will sell it separately, and buying the charger will increase the cost.

Faster Storage:  UFS 3.1 is faster and better than UFS 2.2

More Updates: Because vivo is newly launched and it boots on Android 15, it will receive updates till Android 17, whereas, for CMF, Android 16 will be the last update.

Cheaper Price: If you add the charger price to CMF Phone 1, it becomes costlier than vivo T4x.

Reasons to Buy CMF Phone 1

Better Display: An AMOLED display will provide you a better video viewing experience and can save battery too if you apply black wallpapers.

In-Display Fingerprint: Due to an AMOLED display, CMF Phone 1 has an in-display fingerprint reader, which is considered more premium as compared to the side-mounted one on the vivo.

Clean UI: Nothing OS is bloatware-free and ad-free.

Better Camera: Due to a bigger main and selfie camera, CMF Phone 1 is expected to capture better images and videos.

Which Phone Should You Buy?

Both the devices have their pros and cons. It depends on your requirements which phone is best for you. If you want an AMOLED display, go for CMF Phone 1and if you want a bigger battery, faster storage, and more updates, go for vivo T4x.

Vivo T4x will cost you less as you won’t have to buy the charger separately. In my opinion, T4x is a better value-for-money option, but if you buy CMF, it’s not bad either.
