Samsung’s Tri-fold Galaxy Tri-fold or Z Tri-Fold has been a rumour for a long time after the release of Chinese Tri-folds, to add to their Fold Lineup to regain their market share from other tri-folds like Huawei’s HUAWEI Mate XT and Mate XTs Ultimate Design. Now, an article from a Korean website seems to claim that the Tri-Fold will launch on December 5, specifically.

The article tells that the Galaxy Tri-Fold will have a Twice-folding design, with both sides folding inwards for a tri-fold design, and the external display on the centre will be 6.5-inch, and when unfolded, the internal display will be 10-inch (Z Fold 7, when unfolded, is ~8-inch). Chosun’s article also mentions that the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold will be 14mm when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded.

Even though it will be the Largest foldable by Samsung, it will only have a mere 5,600 mAh, which is also the largest Samsung has provided in a foldable.
It reportedly will be available only in selected Asian markets like Korea, and initial production will only range from 20,000 to 30,000. This clearly shows that the Tri-Fold isn’t meant for high sales volume but to show Samsung’s foldable tech leadership, and to be in the market during the rumoured Apple foldable launch, which is expected by next year.
Samsung’s First-Gen Galaxy Tri-Fold will be priced at ~$3,000 USD, according to the source, and all units will be an unlocked variant.
