Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy F56 5G in India, and it is the successor to the Galaxy F54 from last year.
Design & Build
The Galaxy F56 5G does not have an official IP rating for dust and water resistance, but the front and rear panels are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The phone is available in two color options: Green and Violet.
Display
The Galaxy F56 5G has a 6.7-inch Display, with a resolution of FHD+. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and has slim bezels with a punch hole camera. This is a Super AMOLED+ panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits brightness.
Performance
This is a big upgrade on the Galaxy F56 5G. Unlike the Exynos 1380 and UFS 2.2 seen on the F54, the F56 comes with the Exynos 1480 chipset and LPDDR5X RAM. The phone comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage
Cameras
The Galaxy F56 5G comes with the same 50MP OIS rear camera as the F54, but the selfie camera has been improved with HDR. The main rear camera is 50MP with OIS. There’s no ultrawide or telephoto mentioned, which may affect some users. The selfie camera is a 12MP sensor with HDR.
The phone supports video recording up to 4K 30fps with 10-bit HDR from the back camera, and 1080p 30fps from the front camera.
Battery & Charging
Galaxy F56 5G has a 5000mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging. There is no wireless or reverse charging support. The USB-C 2.0 port on the phone does not support high-speed data transfers. Charging speeds are great, but there are no wireless charging options
Software
The phone runs on One UI 7 out of the box, with support for 6 years of security updates and 6 OS upgrades. There is support for AI editing tools, Gemini integration, Now Bar, and Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay.
Audio
The phone has mono speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It supports the Samsung Seamless Codec for better wireless audio quality.
Samsung Galaxy F56 5G Pricing in India
The Galaxy F56 5G is available in two variants in India
- 8GB + 128GB: ₹25,999 (including ₹2,000 bank discount)
- 8GB + 256GB: ₹28,999 (including ₹2,000 bank discount)
It has been listed on the Samsung India website and will be available for sale, with EMI plans from ₹1,556/month from Samsung Finance+ and other partners.
Conclusion
The Galaxy F56 5G is a good midrange phone with some flagship-like features. It has a thin 7.2mm design, a solid Super AMOLED+ display, and long software support. The 50MP OIS camera with 4K HDR video and a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging make it better.
But the Exynos 1480 chip is not powerful in this price range, and there’s no wireless charging or stereo speakers. This makes the F56 5G feel overpriced unless design and software updates are your needs.
