According to an article from Xiaomi Time, the upcoming REDMI Note 17 series will have three models with city-themed codenames. The article also revealed that REDMI is skipping the Note 16 naming and will name their upcoming Note Series Note 17.
This naming change might be to align their product naming with Xiaomi 17 Series and competitors. No official specs or announcement are out yet, but we can expect faster processors, Improved camera systems, and larger batteries with faster charging support.

- Codename: “chicago”
