Redmi has launched the Note 15 Pro+, but its pricing doesn’t justify the features. While the design looks good, let’s evaluate whether it’s worth the price.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a square-shaped camera design and a triple-camera setup. Still, it looks like a quad camera setup since the flash is near the camera setup, and the back glass is a fibreglass, which has 10x higher impact resistance. The frame is an aluminum alloy frame, and it has SGS 5-star certification for drop resistance. It features the IP66, 68, and 69K for water and dust resistance. It comes in three colors, which are carbon black, mirage blue, and mocha coffee, and it has a thickness of 8.2 mm and a weight of 208 grams, which is excellent for a massive battery phone.

Display

The Note 15 Pro+ features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5k and a 12-bit colour depth. It boasts a refresh rate of 120 Hz and peak brightness of 3200 nits, as well as an HBM brightness of 1800 nits on the phone. The display supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and covers the DCI-P3 colour gamut. For protection, it is equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It features a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 2560 Hz. Additionally, it features 3840 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. The hydro touch intelligently detects water and oil, providing a highly responsive touch experience.

Performance

The Note 15 Pro+ is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which is built on a 4nm process node. It features UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X memory, but these specifications may not be impressive considering the smartphone’s price. For cooling, the device utilises Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system, which features a 5200 mm² surface area and offers three times the thermal conductivity of the smartphone. Additionally, the phone is enhanced by the T1S tuner, which provides a 26% improvement in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance, as well as a 10% better GPS performance compared to the previous generation.

Cameras

The Note 15 Pro+ features the 200MP HPE sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera, and with the AI image enhancement system powered by on-device AI and multi-frame intelligent fusion, it performs pixel-level restoration and detail enhancement, and we can capture vivid, lifelike shots at 2x and 4x zoom thanks to DAG technology and dynamic shots that allow us to capture short videos along with photos, and we have AI features like AI image enhancement that allows us to increase the quality of the picture, and it features a 32MP selfie camera, and it can record videos at 4K 30fps on the rear cam and 1080 60fps on the front cam.

OS

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ comes with HyperOS 2, based on Android 15 preinstalled out of the box. This is disappointing, considering that the Android 17 developer preview is set to be released soon, and Android 16 has been available for 8-9 months. It would be great if Xiaomi gave us Android 16 out of the box, as it offers 4 major OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. If Redmi releases Android 16 within the next 1-2 months, users would only receive three major OS upgrades, which isn’t great.

Battery

The Note 15 Pro+ features a massive 6500 mAh battery, and it also features 10% silicon content, and with that, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ battery is significantly boosted, according to Redmi, and it comes with 100W hypercharge, which can fully charge the massive battery in 50 min (0-100), and it comes with up to 22.5W reverse charging support.

Pricing

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is available at 37,999 for the 8/256 variant, 41,999 for the 12/256 variant, and 43,999 for the 12/512 variant. You can pre-book the phone by paying 1,999. The pre-order is open until 3rd February, and it comes with a 2,000 Rs card discount on HDFC and ICICI cards, as well as a ₹3000 discount on card EMIs. Each purchase also includes a free Redmi Watch Move and one year of screen replacement warranty.

Final Opinion

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ isn’t that well-priced, even when considering the RAM and SSD shortage, but the chipset choice isn’t that good either, considering you can get better phones at the same price range, and releasing a phone with Android 15 in 2026 for a phone that’s priced at 38k is just bad for any brand.
