Xiaomi is a popular smartphone brand in India. Over the last decade, the company has launched some of its most popular and highest-selling smartphones. Recently, the company launched the most anticipated and popular smartphone in its Xiaomi 14 series – Xiaomi 14 Civi. The smartphone ships with the latest and top-notch specifications, is one of the best camera systems available in the midrange, and promises a true Xiaomi experience.

Similarly, Realme is another smartphone brand that is equally popular among consumers. In its journey as an affordable brand, the company has launched some of the path-breaking smartphones. Continuing their journey forward, they recently launched their latest Realme GT series. One of its in-demand smartphones has been the Realme GT6.

In this article we will compare Realme GT6 vs Xiaomi 14 Civi to understand which smartphone is the best choice for the consumers and which smartphone can be called the ultimate midrange king.

Design and Build

Xiaomi 14 Civi has a very unique and phenomenal design language. The smartphone is thin, lightweight and eye-pleasing. It comes in three different colourways – Cruise Blue, Matcha Green, and Shadow Black. All the smartphones come with unique textures on their back and are bound to attract buyers. The smartphone has a metal frame, and it provides a sturdy grip to the smartphone.

Realme GT6 follows the same design as other offerings by the company in the Realme GT6 series. The smartphone has a nano mirror design and is available in two different colour options – Fluid Silver and Razor Green. The smartphone comes with a glass back and plastic frame design.

Both smartphones come with their own pros and cons but in my opinion, the Xiaomi 14 Civi is a clear winner when it comes to the design and display section. The plastic frame design in the Realme GT6 is a huge bummer considering the price they are charging for the device.

Battery and Display

The Realme GT6 has a 6.78-inch with 120 Hz refresh rate and 10bit screen colour. It is also the world’s first brightest display claimed by the company. It has 6000nits of ultra bright display. The smartphone packs a massive 5500 mAh battery combined with a 120W SUPERVOOC charger. It offers up to 1600 full charge cycles.

Xiaomi 14 Civi has a 6.55-inch 120 Hz refresh rate Quad-curve AMOLED display. The smartphone offers Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and has a peak brightness of 3000nits. It has a 4700 mAh battery coupled with a 67W Turbo charger. The company promises 1600 charge cycles.

When it comes to battery and display parts both the companies are neck and neck in the competition. Thus, in my opinion, the consumers should go with whatever best suits their needs.

Processor and Storage

Xiaomi 14 Civi comes with the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor and has an AnTuTu score of 1523226. It has LPDDR5X AM and UFS 4.0 storage options. The smartphone is up for grabs in two storage options – 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM and 12GB RAM + 512GB ROM. It also has an IceLoop Cooling technology system.

The Realme GT6 also has a Snapdragon 8s Gen processor and a similar AnTuTu score. The smartphones come in three storage options – 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM, and 12GB RAM + 512GB ROM. It has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM. The smartphone has dual VC Cooling system.

Both of the smartphones have similar processor and storage options. The consumers should go according to their needs and requirements. Though I would suggest the consumers to go with a higher storage variant.

Camera Performance

The Realme GT6 has a triple camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP LYT-808 OIS camera. The telephoto camera is a 50MP Samsung JN5 with 2x Optical Zoom. It also has an 8MP IMX 355 ultrawide camera. The front camera is a 32MP Sony IMX 615 shooter. It has features like Street Mode, Night Vision, Pro Mode, etc.

Xiaomi 14 has a triple camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP Lighter 800 shooter. It has a 50MP portrait camera with a 2x Telephoto lens. There is also a 12MP ultrawide camera. The selfie camera is a dual 32MP + 32MP shooter.

Xiaomi and Realme both feature terrific specifications when it comes to the camera department. However, Xiaomi seems to have an edge with a dual camera for selfies and is essentially a camera-centric smartphone.

Software Updates

The Xiaomi 14 Civi comes with Android 14 out of the box and has a custom HyperOS skin on the top. The smartphone will get AI features in the coming months. It will make the user experience smoother and more refined. On the software front, the company has proposed three major software updates and four years of security updates.

Realme GT6 comes with realme UI 5.0 that runs on Android 14. The company has promised three major software updates and four years of security updates. The smartphone has several AI features like AI Smart Loop, AI Smart Removal, AI Night Vision, etc., and more are expected to arrive via software updates.

Both the smartphones are bound to provide a truly ultimate and unforgettable experience. Both of them have their own pros and cons. Thus, deciding the ultimate winner is a difficult job. In my opinion, it should depend upon the consumers and their requrirements.

You can get the Realme GT6 if you want to experince AI features and enjoy the realme UI experince. And if you want to experience the HyperOS and all the lockscreen customisations you can go for the Xiaomi Civi 14.
