The iPhone SE 4 or iPhone 16E is said to launch next week. The company’s CEO has officially announced the date; it is launching on February 19, 2025 (Wednesday). The phone is quite exciting as it is ditching some previously dated trends like the usage of big bezels (physical Touch ID), old design, and more. The company’s approach is towards modernization to ensure that the final product is attractive with respect to the current trends.
Leaks about iPhone SE 4 or iPhone 16E

The iPhone SE next generation (or iPhone 16E) is expected to retain the iPhone XR design from the rear. The phone is expected to be covered by an upgraded Aluminium frame. There are rumors that it will feature an Action button (replacing the switch button) similar to iPhone 16 series. However, we are not sure about it.

The upcoming smartphone will likely feature a 6.1-inch OLED Display (similar to iPhone 14), which is upgraded from a 4.7-inch LCD. Unfortunately, the screen refresh rate remains at the standard of 60Hz. Not to mention, it will feature the same iPhone 14-like notch with Face ID recognition. Specs-wise, the Apple A18 Bionic chipset will power the upcoming iPhone, while the SE 3 features A15. Hence, we can expect similar performance to the new iPhone 16. Also, it will feature 8GB base RAM, including the Apple Intelligence!

Yes, you heard it right. Apple is planning to introduce Apple Intelligence in its iPhone 16E. While it is not confirmed that it is really going to be available, we can expect the company to pull it off to draw attention. As of now, we are quite skeptical about it, as the price expectation is approximately $500.
Coming to optics, it will feature a 48MP single rear camera. The selfie camera will likely be the standard 12MP. The battery will likely have a 3279mAh capacity, which is of decent size considering the screen size. For comparison, the iPhone SE 3 features a 2018mAh battery with a lightning port. Instead of the Qualcomm 5G chip used in the iPhone SE 3, the successor is expected to use an Apple-designed 5G Chip (In-house chip).

In conclusion, the new iPhone is looking like a baseless launch, just with the renewed specifications. It is made in combination with previous generation iPhones like iPhone 14 and 16.
The cost factor will decide whether this phone deserves its place in the market. If it is beyond $500 or ₹60,000 INR for an 8GB + 64GB combo, then it’s definitely not worth buying. The company’s own options are enough to outsell this iPhone 16E or whatever it will be called.
