The Ai+, which is a part of the NXT Quantum company, which is led by Madhav Sheth as its CEO, has launched their first two phones from the company, and they are great VFM if you are looking for a great phone under budget, have data privacy on your mind and want great performance. They have launched two phones named Ai+ Nova 5G and Ai+ Pulse, which start at ₹4.5k.
Design
The Ai+ Pulse phone features a cool-looking design. The phone boasts a dual-camera design on the back, which looks great considering the pricing. It also has a bit of curved symmetrical lines on the smartphone and comes in various colors, such as black, blue, and green.
The Ai+ Nova phone features a stunning design with a dual-camera setup. The camera module has a dual-tone finish and is available in various colors, including black, blue, green, pink, and purple.

Display
The Ai+ Pulse phone features a 6.45-inch display with HD+ resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate, a brightness of 450 nits, an oleophobic coating, and an aspect ratio of 20:9, which is again great for 4500 since you can’t expect much for a 5k price.
The Ai+ Nova phone features a 6.45-inch display with HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a brightness of 450 nits, an oleophobic coating, and an aspect ratio of 20:9, which is awesome, but the brightness level seems low for 8k. But since they are prioritising the performance stuff, it’s okay.
Performance
The Ai+ Pulse phone is equipped with a Unisoc T615 processor, which is based on the 12nm process node. It features 2 Cortex A75 cores running at 1.8 GHz and 6 Cortex A55 cores running at 1.6 GHz, and an Antutu score of over 300000, which is excellent for the price. At the 5k price range, this phone offers one of the best CPUs with 4 GB RAM/64 GB and 6 GB RAM/128 GB variants, and the phone has LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC type storage, which we can’t say anything coz of the pricing again.
If you have the budget, just get the 6/128 GB variant for the phone since 4/64 GB has become old, and the newer Android 16, if Ai+ provides an OS upgrade first, will require 6 GB as a minimum, or you will get downgraded to the Go version.

The Ai+ Nova phone features the Unisoc T8200 chipset, which is based on the 12nm process node. The chipset has two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and six Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and has an Antutu score of 510k, which is again so good considering that the phone starts at just 8k for the base 6/128 variant. There’s another variant, which is 8/128, and the phone supports 5G, and thanks to this CPU having a better ISP than the competition’s Dimensity 6300, this phone can support video recording at 4k 30fps, which is again a first in the ₹8000 segment.
The phone has LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC-type storage, which disappoints me since the competition has UFS under 10k too now, like the Samsung M06 and the Storm Play from Lava.

Cameras
The camera department is all the same for the two phones; both feature a 50mp shooter and a 2mp depth or a VGA camera on the back and a 5mp shooter on the front camera, and since both house different CPUs, expect some difference in the image processing, and since the Nova 5G has a better ISP, the phone can record videos in 4k 30fps. And a note to Ai+: You could remove the depth cameras and probably give the phone a better front camera next time. Please do it. 5MP isn’t that good in 2025. It’s okay for the Pulse, but Nova is priced higher and should have a better camera setup.
Battery
Both phones feature the same battery size; however, due to the different manufacturing nodes of their CPUs, you can expect a difference in the battery life between the two models. The phone comes with a 10W charger included in the box and supports 18W fast charging, and the 18W charger will be sold separately.
OS
Both phones come with Android 15 out of the box, and we aren’t promised any OS update policy. The phones won’t have bloatware in the OS, according to the company, which is a great thing for the consumers, and the phone will have the NXT privacy dashboard installed. It helps the user track the permissions used by the apps installed on the phone and track the data, etc., of the permissions in just one click.
The phone is designed and constructed on the community, and it has a lot of customization apps installed, and the phone keeps the data backups, etc, safe and encrypted in the Google Cloud servers in the India regions, so the data is stored within our country.
Pricing
The Ai+ Pulse is priced at ₹4,999 and ₹6999 for the 4/64GB and 6/128GB variants, respectively, and there’s the Nova 5G, which is priced at ₹7999 for the 6/128 and ₹9999 for the 8/128. There’s a 10% instant discount of up to ₹500 on the phones, so the Ai+ Pulse comes down to 4499 and 6499 and the Ai+ Nova to 7499 and 9499, which is excellent since for 4499, it doesn’t have any competition or stuff in the segment. It’s there to rule the under 5k segment, and Nova pricing looks great with offers too, and the phone goes on sale on 12th July at 12 am for the Pulse and 13th July at 12 am for the Nova.
Even though it’s a new phone, it has 280+ centres in over 250+ cities, though I am mostly worried about the service experience for the phones since Honor, in Madhav’s term, wasn’t that good.
