Samsung has launched the F07, a successor to the F05, which was launched in September 2024. This model is an improvement over the F05 4G version and features a better display.
Design

The Samsung F07 features a more stylish and appealing design than its predecessor, the F05. Additionally, it has a sleeker thickness of 7.7 mm compared to 8.8 mm thickness on the F05, which is great. The back camera layout has been redesigned to a combined configuration, unlike the separated camera design found on the F05. Additionally, the phone has become lighter, reducing its weight from 195 g to 184 g. As for the colour options, we get a single colour option available: green. The phone features IP54 for splash and dust resistance.
Display

The Samsung F07 features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with a 720×1600 resolution with an increase in the refresh rate of 90 Hz from the 60 Hz, which is an improvement because the 90 Hz and the HD+ resolution can’t really be complained of since the display is kind of great for the price.
Performance
The Samsung F07 is powered by the Helio G99 processor, which offers a significant enhancement over the G85 CPU. According to Samsung, the G99 shows an impressive 40-50% improvement in Antutu scores, making it a noteworthy upgrade. The performance of the smartphone is great, but to say the phone’s biggest drawback is its 4GB/64GB variant is honest since 4GB of RAM in 2025 is kind of bad, and 64GB in 2025 isn’t that good either since the phone can take up to 10-15GB just with the system’s OS packages, pre-installed applications, etc. Samsung has improved the phone by adding the UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X for the RAM.
Cameras
The Samsung F07 features a camera configuration consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera. Once again, to the manufacturers, if a dual-camera setup isn’t feasible, it would be better to omit the depth camera in favour of higher quality components, particularly in the budget phones priced under 10k. Alternatively, you could reduce the prices and improve the quality of these devices. Honestly, depth cameras tend to have a limited use case. The phone features an 8MP selfie camera, which is good to see.
Battery
The Samsung F07 features a 5000mAh battery with support for 25 W of Samsung fast charging, which is great for the customers, but there isn’t a charger inside the box or a USB-C to USB-C cable for the budget customers.
OS
The Samsung F07 comes with One UI 7 and Android 15 right out of the box. It is expected to receive six years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates until 2031. However, this isn’t that good, as the phone only has a base configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage. After receiving six OS upgrades, the phone’s performance may decline over time. In contrast, the older F05 had a policy of two OS upgrades, which would be suitable for that device. It would be beneficial to see Samsung provide two or three major OS upgrades for the F07’s hardware to ensure better longevity and performance.
Pricing
The Samsung F07 is priced at ₹7,700 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, which is not very competitive pricing given that it offers only 4 GB RAM. However, during the sales, the phone is available for ₹6,999 on the Flipkart website, and you can purchase it right now. Overall, the pricing is not attractive, as the device is limited to a 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage option. Additionally, the M06, priced at ₹7999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB variant, appears to be a better choice than the F07. It really says Samsung should work on the pricing and positioning of their smartphones.
