HONOR has launched its new foldable Magic V5 in China, alongside Magicbook Art 14, Magic Pad 3. Here’s a look at its specifications and pricing.
HONOR Magic V5 Specifications
HONOR Magic V5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It has a Self-developed RF-enhanced chip C1+ and has a Cicada wing titanium vapor chamber heat dissipation.
The internal display of the Magic V5 is a 7.95-inch 8T LTPO BOE OLED display with 2352×2172 resolution, which goes up to 5000 nits of peak brightness, capable of 1-120Hz refresh rate and 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The External display of the Magic V5 is a 6.43-inch 8T LTPO BOE OLED display with a 2376×1060 resolution, which goes up to 5000 nits of peak brightness, capable of a 1-120Hz refresh rate and 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It has HONOR Vision Soothing Oasis Eye Protection and HONOR Rhino Glass Protection. The Hinge is a Luban shield steel hinge, a self-developed shield steel that supports multi-angle hovering.
Coming to Cameras, on the front it has a 20MP internal selfie camera on both displays, and the back is a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP 1/1.56 main with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 64MP 1/2″ OV64B 3X optical periscope telephoto camera with OIS.
HONOR Magic V5 has a 5820mAh battery with advanced silicon-carbon battery technology, but the 1TB variant has a 6100mAh battery with advanced silicon-carbon battery technology. Both are capable of 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, paired with a self-developed energy efficiency enhancement chip, E2.
HONOR Magic V5 comes in Silk Road Dunhuang, Velvet Black, Warm White, and Dawn Gold colors.
Warm White version is 4.1mm thick when unfolded and 8.8mm thick when folded, while weighing 217g, while all other variants are 4.2mm thick when unfolded and 9mm thick when folded and weigh 222g.
Magic V5 supports HONOR Hongyan communication or Beidou satellite communication. The Foldable is rated for IP58 & IP59 dust and water resistance and runs MagicOS 9.0.1 out of the box.
