vivo India had teased the X200 FE last week, and now they have teased the vivo X Fold 5 on their Website, which was announced in China last week.

vivo X Fold 5, though foldable, will be light, around 217g (does not include the weight of the inner and outer screen protective films) and will be thin enough to comfortably slide into your pockets.

The X Fold 5 will have a large 6000mAh Si-Ci battery with 4th-Gen Silicon and 866Wh/L Energy Density, which supports up to 80W wired dual-cell flash charge and 40W wireless flash charge with the vivo 50W Vertical Wireless Charger 2. vivo has promised 80.6 hours of music playback and 13.2 hours of online meetings with 8.8 days of standby.

The X Fold 5 will be rated for IPX8 and IPX9 for Water Resistance and IP5X for Dust Resistance. It can resist up to –20°C Freeze.

vivo X Fold 5 will have a Carbon Fibre Support Hinge with a rotating-sliding hinge, which reduces visible creases and helps improve reliability by synchronized motion. vivo has mentioned that it can do up to 600,000 Reliable Foldings (under normal ambient conditions).

X Fold 5 is combined with ZEISS Imaging with AI algorithms for better focus and clear images for details and clarity, even while capturing images of distant scenes. But, it does not have the AR Planetarium and Astro Portrait features available on X200 Pro. It has a triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX921 Main with f/1.57 lens and OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and lastly a 50MP Sony IMX882 3x telephoto. One the Front is a 20MP sensor for Selfies.

The Foldable is just 0.92cm when folded and 0.43cm when unfolded.

vivo X Fold 5 will come with AI Smart Office, which helps utilize its large screen to summarize meetings or take notes and make tab switching less.
The Foldable will have a shortcut Button, which we have seen on the OnePlus 13s and OPPO Phones, which helps us to access apps and activate functions with just a click.

vivo X Fold will be powered by last year’s Flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The X Fold 5 will be sold on Flipkart and Vivo India E-Store on their website. Seeing the teasers, we can confirm the Foldable will launch in the Titanium Grey variant, but we are unsure about other colours that will launch in India.
The End: vivo X Fold 5
