Apple is developing touchscreen MacBook Pro models, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. These laptops will be Apple’s first touchscreen MacBooks.

According to the article published on Bloomberg by Mark Gurman, the Touchscreen MacBook will feature OLED touch screens in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Moreover, it will have a Dynamic Island, making use of the space where we have the notch currently. It will be using a smaller hole-punch camera for interactive notifications or other features.
macOS will be optimised for touchscreen so that the interface will match and adapt to touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom. It will still have a full keyboard and trackpad for normal laptop use, similar to other Touchscreen Laptops. It’s set to launch in late 2026 (October to December).
Apple has opposed touchscreens for many years because of Ergonomics (According to Steve Jobs), made for to be used on a desk with in-built keyboard and trackpad rather than a screen (According to Craig Federighi), and overall macOS wasn’t built for using with fingers, unlike iPadOS and now it’s all going to change to compete against competitors who has touchscreen laptops. They are adapting to market changes like OLED laptops by bringing OLED MacBook Pros with redesigned hinges and screen hardware for minimising wobbles and better ergonomics while using a touchscreen.
