realme Neo 7 Launched in China: A Complete Overview of Features and Specs!

realme launched the Neo 7 in China on December 11th. It is an upgrade to the GT Neo 6, which launched on May 9th of this year but without the GT tagline.

Design, Speakers

The realme Neo 7 features a dual camera setup on the back of the phone. The phone features IP68/IP69 for water resistance and dust resistance for the smartphone with a waterproof depth of 1.5 meters and weighs around 208 grams for the phone, which is decent when you consider the humongous battery for the smartphone. The phone has 3 colours: Starship, Snorkeling, and Meteorite Black and the phone also features linear dual speakers with dual-mic noise cancellation.

Display

The realme Neo 7 features a 6.78-inch display with a 1.5k resolution and 8T LTPO technology with a 120Hz refresh rate with Pro XDR support with 6000 nits of peak brightness. It might hit this number only on one pixel and call it a day. 1600 nits are the global max brightness and around 1.6 mm bezels

The Neo 7 features crystal armor glass, which is a shock- and scratch-resistant glass that would not scratch even if scratched with metal coins, it can survive even after falling from 1.5 meters, and it has an instantaneous sampling rate of 2600 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360 Hz, and the phone also has full brightness DC dimming and 2160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming to protect the eyes even when you are watching the phone in darkness and has support for a 100% P3 color gamut.

Performance

On the performance side, the realme Neo 7 is powered by the Dimensity 9300+ CPU, and the CPU is 34% faster than the 9200 and 40% more efficient than the 9200 CPU. It has blazing-fast clock speeds of 3.4 GHz and is fabricated from TSMC’s 3rd generation 4nm process. Realme and MediaTek jointly tuned the phone for its extreme performance. The phone and phone are powered by LPDDR5X RAM with 8533 Mbps speeds and UFS 4.0 storage on board with 4 GB/s read, which is good speed. The phone comes with game Flash Pro memory with space for 4 exclusive games, and the phone has a GT performance engine too, which is a good thing for the smartphone.

The realme Neo 7 also comes with a 7700 m² large heat spreader, which is accountable for 65% of the phone area, and it drops the core temp by 5 degrees compared to the previous generation, and the Sky gaming antenna brings powerful signals without dead zones, and the phone is full of antennas, and it improves the metro speed optimization during peak hours by 40% and improves the weak network stability by 71%, which is good, and the phone also has 4D game vibration thanks to the X-Axis Linear motor.

Cameras

The smartphone is powered by the 50 MP IMX 882 sensor with OIS support and an 8 MP ultrawide camera, which can record videos at 4K 60 fps. The phone also has live photo support, like GIF video with the image, which is a good thing, and the phone can open the camera in 0.8 seconds, which is a good thing.

It means that you will never miss a good shot because of the camera app taking longer to load that gives the smartphone a zero-delay capture experience, and thanks to the OIS on the main camera, the phone can capture good nighttime photos, and the phone also has AI anti-smear, which means the phone wouldn’t have any marks while you capture last-minute pictures.

OS

The phone is powered by the new realme UI 6, which is based on Android 15, and it features the new Fluid Cloud with AI Portal 2.0 and AI recording summary. Since this is part of the GT lineup, the phone might get 3+4 software updates. The phone could receive the Android 18 update.

Battery

The realme Neo 7 is packing a monstrous 7000 mAh silicon carbon battery with 80W of charging, and it has to be a phone with good battery life and good charging speeds too. Pairing a 7000 mAh battery with 80W of charging is monstrous.

Pricing

The realme Neo 7 comes in 5 variants the 12+256 variant at 2099 yuan INR 24500 (Converted 12+512 at 2499 yuan INR 29000 Converted 16+256GB at Yuan 2299, INR 27000 (converted), 16+512GB at Yuan 2799, INR 33000 (converted) and 16GB+1TB at Yuan 3299, INR 38500 (converted) and as a promise to the battery longevity if the battery goes below 80% battery health, realme will replace the battery if it happens within 4 years.
