OnePlus is testing prototypes for the successor to the OnePlus 13. It will launch with the name OnePlus 15, as number 4 is considered unlucky in Asian countries like China, so they have skipped the naming of OnePlus 14 and will directly come with the name OnePlus 15.

Now, there have been several leaks posted from Digital Chat Station and Smart Pikachu on Weibo that have revealed some major specs of the upcoming OnePlus 15. It is expected to come with major hardware changes compared to the OnePlus 13, which launched in November. Here’s a look at OnePlus 15’s leaked specifications, downgrades, and upgrades over the OnePlus 13.

OnePlus 15 will launch apparently in October or November, and may be one of the first to come with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, as per Smart Pikachu. DCS has mentioned that the OnePlus 15 will come with a light and simple design.
It may come with a 6.78-inch flat LTPO OLED with a 1.5K resolution and have a 120Hz refresh rate. DCS also mentioned that it will come with symmetrical bezels on the display like the iPhone. OnePlus 13 had a 2K display, which is better than the 1.5K resolution the leaks suggest for OnePlus 15.
It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the OnePlus 13. Coming to cameras, the OnePlus 15 will have a 50MP triple back camera setup, same as the OnePlus 13.
OnePlus 13 had a 6,000 mAh battery with support for up to 100W fast charging. OnePlus 15 may have a 6,500 mAh+ battery and support for 100W fast charging, as seen on OnePlus 13.
OnePlus 15 will likely come with the same features as OnePlus 13, like the Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanner. But OnePlus 13 had an alert slider like other OnePlus phones, but in March, OnePlus announced that they were removing their iconic alert slider in its upcoming phone for a ‘Plus Key‘. It was also teased by OnePlus that the OnePlus 13s will come with a Plus key. So OnePlus 15 will come with a Plus key.
It will be running Android 16 based on OxygenOS 16 out of the box, and I hope this time they fix the battery bugs and optimize it well. OnePlus 13 has a 6,000mAh battery, but it cannot compete against other flagships with less than 5,000mAh batteries due to inconsistent battery optimization seen on most OnePlus phones.
According to the leaks, the OnePlus 15 Chinese launch is expected to be in September or October 2025 and may launch globally in Q1 2026 (January).
Conclusion
OnePlus 15 will likely be a good upgrade over OnePlus 13 for those who need better performance, battery, and better camera. We can expect more leaks when we get closer to the Chinese launch of the OnePlus 15.
