Let’s start with an overview. Phone (3) is more like the brand’s flagship-oriented device, while Phone (4a) Pro is more like a mid-range-oriented device. Due to this, Phone (3) gets superior performance and cameras.
Nothing Phone (3) has a 6.67″ OLED, 4500nits brightness, and 120hz refresh rate, while Phone (4a) Pro has a larger 6.83″ AMOLED, faster 144Hz [applicable only to some games and apps], brighter 5000nits panel.
Nothing Phone (3) is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and UFS 4.0, making it faster than the 7 Gen 4 in the Phone (4a) Pro, which is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and UFS 4.1. Get the Phone (3) for superior performance and more RAM, as it comes in 16GB, while the 4a Pro caps out at 12GB.

Phone (3) also has the better camera system, with 50MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 50MP ultra-wide. The (4a) Pro has 50MP Main and 50MP Telephoto but an 8MP ultrawide.
Phone (3) has a 5150mAh [Global] / 5,500mAh [India] battery, with support for 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. Phone (4a) Pro 5,180mAh [Global] / 5,500mAh [India]. The battery size is relatively similar, but Phone (3) has wireless charging.
Launch pricing differs largely, with Phone (3) with a ₹85k Price [Now Around ₹50k and Phone (4a) Pro is priced at around ₹40k.

Concluding, Phone (3) has better main and ultrawide cameras, wireless charging, and almost twice the performance in both gaming and multitasking. It has faster storage and also faster connectivity with Wi-Fi 7.
While the Phone (4a) Pro has a smoother, faster [higher refresh rate] and brighter display and a Cheaper price tag, which makes the phone stand as more value for money.
Get the Phone (4a) Pro if you’re fine with a weaker processor, lack of wireless charging, slower charging, a weaker Ultrawide camera or need a better display. Get The Phone (3) for top performance, cameras, premium build, wireless charging, and faster speeds.
My personal opinion would be to get the Phone (4a) Pro if you don’t do performance-intensive tasks like gaming or editing. It has the same glyph matrix. Its price tag is very value-providing compared to Phone (3). Camera performance will be similar. Wireless charging is not that important, according to my POV.
