Motorola has teased their upcoming smartphone, Motorola G96 5G, as the successor to last year’s G85 5G and confirmed to launch it on 9th July at 12PM on Flipkart. Here’s a look at its specifications, pricing, and more.
Specifications (According To Flipkart Listings)
According to the Flipkart teaser listing, the Moto G96 5G will have a 144Hz 3D Curved pOLED Display with Gorilla Glass 5 Protection. It will be the segment’s first smartphone to have a 144Hz display.
The display will be a 6.67-inch pOLED display with 10-bit 100% DCI-P3 and will go up to 1600 nits as peak brightness.
Moto G96 will be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, and rated for IP68 for dust and water resistance. Coming to cameras, it will have a dual camera setup, which consists of a Sony LYTIA 700C 50MP OIS camera. The G96 5G will have Moto AI features, similar to other Motorola phones.
The specifications confirmed through the Flipkart listing are limited as of now, and more specifications are yet to be revealed, which may be revealed by launch. But there are several leaks that give us more information on the specs of this phone.
Leaked Specifications of Motorola G96
There have been several leaks of the G96 5G, notably from Xpertpick and YTechB. According to Xpertpick, it will have a 6.67-inch 144Hz pOLED curved 10-bit display and will be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and will have a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-700C sensor with OIS and is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, which are all confirmed by Motorola’s Flipkart listing.
But, there are specifications that are not revealed by Motorola, like which are: G96 5G will have an 8MP ultra-wide with support for macro photography, alongside the 50MP Lytia LYT-700C Sensor confirmed by Motorola. Xpertpick has also revealed that the phone is set to come with a 32MP selfie camera on the front. They have also revealed that the G96 5G will have a 5,500mAh battery with support for 68W wired fast charging. According to them, the G96 5G will have stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, like other Motorola phones.
Xpertpick has also revealed the pricing of a variant of the G96 5G, which is that the phone is priced at ₹22,990 for the 12/256GB model.
Coming to YTechB, they have revealed the whole look of the phone’s design and colors through official render leaks. They have mentioned that the phone will come in four colors validated by Pantone, similar to Motorola’s other phones.

According to them, Moto G96 5G will have a Vegan Leather Back like all the budget Motorola phones. The phone also has a curved display, like most Motorola phones.
